.@hornets head into tonight’s game on a 5-game win-streak. Some notes on their current streak:

Offensively, 3rd in ppg (125.4) and in FG% (.528%) and 1st in 3pt% (.439%).

Defensively, tied for 3rd in spg (8.8), 2nd in opp. TOs (15.6) and 1st in points off TOs (21.8).

yep, in the first quarter, they were shooting wide open 3s...now a good bit of that was them getting rebounds and shooting so far we couldn't get to them in time, but they were hitting them, so give them some credit.

we were getting some open 3s too, but only Melo was hitting them.  Bad decisions by PJ among others on some quick shots.

I think it’s lame when people trash Borrego constantly but Melo ends the third quarter with 32 points….and then he sits until like 5:55 left in the fugging game?? When you’re down double digits?? And Miles is on the bench with him?

Makes no sense. Utterly gross offensive lineup with Thomas, Rozier, McDaniels, Martin and Harrel.

Foul trouble was why Ball was sitting. No idea why Bridges was sitting so long though.

    • The vast majority of mocks from the past week suggests Sadiq, then Freeling, McNeil-Warren, Cooper Jr   https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/teams/2026/carolina-panthers
    • Yup. Hopefully  Brandon adds some muscle this off-season but he'll probably be resting his shoulder for a while so I doubt it. Miles should probably be replaced but I don't think we find a better 4th option to be honest. So is it better to add depth along side williams and Coby or try to upgrade the 4/5 . I think adding depth will probably be more beneficial than trying to upgrade starters and bank on Brandon and Kons continuing development. I really don't think they are going to make the playoffs unfortunately. I think the big hole they put themselves in has exhausted them. They've been amazing since January 1 but I think it's come at a cost and their legs are gone.
    • The issue is the predictability of it all in a Bryce Young led offense. In 4th down attempts the Jets were at 41 and we were at 40. And we were 4th in conversation %. We were 25th in the league in 3rd down conversion because we faced so many 3rd and longs in part due to playcalling on 1st and 2nd down but more largely due to the limitations that cannot be overcome.  And people want us to spend another 1st rounder on WR as if it is going to magically give Bryce physical talent he will never possess. It's a shame we cut off our own nose just to put ourselves in this frustrating predicament.
