That's a bit of a reach. Many fans were concerned that Cam wanted a big extension coming off multiple years of injuries. In the meantime, he got near the league minimum last year and this year he's sitting on his couch.

No reach. Fan base was tired of a QB that looked like him. Not going to tip toe around it. Greatest player in franchise history and look at how he’s talked about around here.

It's not like he carried our offense by himself for nearly a decade and won an MVP and took us to the Superbowl...

In all seriousness, you only have to look at CMC to see how great Cam was. Cam carried this offense for nearly a decade and only started breaking down his last 1.5 years. CMC has done it for 3/5 years and the last two his body is already breaking down.

You have to wonder if his quick drops has anything to do with our OL sucking and he's just ready to get rid of the damn ball before being planted in the turf?

No,  he's not adjusting to what's happening after the snap.  He is just not taking what he's given or is not trusting what he sees holds the ball too long for a sack.

The kid is broken and probably should consider a career outside football.

Steve Smith is the greatest player in Panthers history and it's not even close.

but then point becomes when Sam actually has what he needs and everyone does their job….Sam fails out of belief everything won’t work out.

and that’s why he should be backup somewhere working out all his flaws.  As this is just one of them.

But let me ask you :  What team out there would even WANT him at this point to even be a backup?

I think he's on a one-way trip out of the league entirely at this rate unless he changes positions or something 'cause being NFL QB may be a bit too much for him to handle apparently.

He plays QB and can’t do that…so why does it even matter

Everyone has to be good at something.  Saying he plays qb is kinda misleading.   He's paid to play yes, but he doesn't play qb.  At least as it is defined by any reasonable person.

Or a change in position if he wants to remain in the league.

Since he likes to run a lot, maybe a TE or RB?   I mean...he is still a very good athlete so he might be able to do it (plus he won't be throwing any INTs so that's always a plus.  lol )

I think 89 is the fanbases collective favorite of all time.

I don’t think he was actually the best player to put on pads here.  Top 3.  Nor the most impactful.  Top 2.
