Thoughts on Jokic and Morris?

The altercation

Jimmy Butler after it happened

Chuck and Shaq's take

Bonus: Boogie Cousins standing up for a teammate last season when Morris took a cheap shot on him.

Personally, I don't want to see anyone hurt, but I think Morris got what he deserved. It was only a matter of time before someone wouldn't take the cheap shots he's done over the years any longer. It just happened to be a seven foot Serb that stood up for himself.

As unwatchable as the NBA has been for the last 15 years, this is welcome comic relief.

First of all, Morris hits Jokic in his exposed ribcage, got an elbow in there as well. Jokic went right back at him and Morris acts like he needs 911. GTFO.

Why didn't we see any of Morris's teammates stand up for him. Cousins doesn't count because all he did was run his mouth and make sure one of the bench assistants had ahold of him.

Yeah, 6'11", 270lb Cousins has a 5'9" 180lb bench coach holding him back. Gotcha.

You're a punk, Morris, and Cousins is a mouthy bitch.

    • Off-season is over!  Somehow we are in the preseason. New thread to get us going.
    • No. But his teammates at Alabama were superior to virtually every other team they faced. Alabama had 10 of the 62 SEC players drafted in 23. Alabama's talent pool was always better which means his linemen were having a much easier time opening those throwing lanes that he needs because they were playing against lesser competition. The NFL isn't that way and the competition level is much closer, so his line doesn't dominate the way they did in college. It's not 5 star vs 2 and 3 star anymore.
    • Yep! Just like the last six seasons where we have picked in the top 10
