Look for big moves this offseason in free agency. Samir will be dishing out a lot of voided year contracts... and thats fine.

that’s a worry.  Nothing sound about Robby and Sam.  That’s not something a good FO does.

1. Robby's contract is a 1 year deal. If he is traded post 6/1 we get all of the money back based on how the contract is structured. So if we hit the shitter, we can shop him for a conditional pickl to a contender who needs a deep threat, and it doesnt impact at all and we gain a pick.

2. Samir has zero say in a rookie contract

He didnt though... none of the contracts he put together were more than  1 year deals with outs and small dead cap penalties with immediate cap savings. Look into every deal he has done since he has gotten here.

Robbie Anderson has 20M still guaranteed. And he sucked. So that’s 20M for 3-4M dead cap. Darnold(19M). No reason. 31M guaranteed for the first QB. 13M for KK for no reason. CMC signs richest RB contracts ever. Plays 10 games(in 2 years) Tre Boston 9.5M for one year.

Think they could have gotten a decent OL with all that wasted space?

Wouldn’t mind restructuring Shaq.  He’s usually healthy and had his best season as a pro.  Would also love to do that with Fox.  The cap is very manageable if you’re good at it and Samir seems like one of the great money guys in the league, so we’ll figure it out.  Wish he was here when we signed Matt Kalil.

First, Samir wasnt here for KK, CMC, and Tre Boston's contract.... so you cant blame him for those contract.

Second, that is short term cap and zero impact on following seasons due to strcuture of the contract for RA. We have an out post 2022, and like stated before if traded next year, we gain 15mil back in cap.

Sure, if they previous FO didnt fug the cap, we could have gone out and bought lineman. This current staff inherited almost 50million of dead cap last year.....

Every contract has an out every year. It’s just how much it will cost.

okay now i realize is going to be endless with you. It's apparent you don't understand the financial strategies of this business. Which is one of my favorite parts.

tapping out.

The Saints are negative 80 million to be out of the same playoffs we are with an older roster lmao.

Robby was a 2 year deal.  And he took up more cap than Devante Adams and Diggs lol.  That’s bad.  And it sets a bad precedent for how they do business.

I didn’t comment on rookie deals.  The worry is what they will do with Reddick, Jackson, etc.

Samir ain’t running the show.  He is signing deals the goof troop tells him to sign.

No, Robby's deal is essentially just a one year extension. We have an out built into the 2023 offseason, it will cost us less than 4million in DS and save us almost 10million in free cap space.

Go back and watch the camp confidential and the episode where Fitts says that Samir handles all of the deals. He is the one who makes the decisions on if the deal will work or not.

Sure MR and Fitt make the decision on the who, but Samir determines if it is feasible financially.

    • They never even tried to pretend that he had to win tne job. I hated that. At least make it a fake competition for appearances.  Naw, just install him.
    • For all the Bryce apologists, the Canales apologists are almost worse.
    • I mean, sure, he has made a mess of the football situation with his hires.   I'm just saying, he is often overused to take the blame of others who ALSO are bad at their jobs.    We see that often.  Not just with Tepper.  I mean, how many people did we scapegoat and try to give all the blame to before we admitted Matt Rhule was bad at his job.  Same for Fitterer.  Tepper's other pro team has gone to the postseason in back to back years now.  Think they set a MLS record this year too.  And they have barely existed.   Tepper is not crafting the roster and shaping the team.  Others do that for him.   The QB room is the way it is because of the big picture hires of David Tepper.  But on a practical football level discussion about why we suck at the QB spot and going forward, we got to talk about Dan Morgan.  He is the dude doing the bad job there.  I'm not trying to deflect any blame from Tepper.  I just can't stand how Dan Morgan gets the pass he gets from some and the narrative......Tepper is calling the QB room, and this weird Morgan mantra that he somehow is silently against everything he part of building (not saying that is you but it exists here)  I think with a good staff and QB,  no one would care about David Tepper.  I think Tepper has now limited his ability to get the good staff in the front office and sidelines.   In hindsight, the Matt Rhule hire.....might go down as the biggest error in Panther history.  Because it's all a snowball from that bad hire.
