Umm, how about the defensive pressure they starting bringing? Mahomes was running around 10 yards in the backfield before he could even get off a pass due to the pressure the Bengals were bringing. Their DT Hill even got an interception, which doesn't happen often for the big defensive line guys unless there is pressure.

They started dropping 8 into coverage, having one safety move up and linebackers drop back to basically have a double team on every WR/TE. Surprisingly seams like the Chiefs didn't adjust and start running more and Mahomes was just standing back there numerous times having no idea what to do

So they dropped 8 into coverage and started bringing more pressure?  Dam, their defensive coordinator is a friggin genius.  lol

it doesn't take a genius. sometimes an adjustment is to stop doing the very thing that isn't working. when you find something that does, stick to it until it doesn't work anymore.

It was a tongue in cheek comment.  One poster said they started dropping 8 in coverage, another said they started bringing more pressure.

Ive never seen why everyone slobbers over Eric Bienemy so much. Half of their offense seems like its just Mahomes buying time and improvising and whenever defenses find something that starts working against them he never seems to have a counter for it

I'm not going to blame Bienemy. He didn't make Mahomes throw two picks, and neither did he make the decision to not kick the field goal. That loss was not on him, it was on Mahomes and Reid. Mahomes needs to stop trying to win the game all at once, and take the underneath throws that the defense is giving him.

Yeah. They def. Didn’t try pressuring in the first half.
