2022 PFF free agent list

With the offseason upon us everyone is starting to make their wish list of free agents.  Here is a top 200 list by PFF.  It is in a very long format but they do writeups about each one, everything from scheme fit to injury history.

They also include a project contract cost, which is interesting, although I'm sure real numbers will vary.

For instance, for our free agents, they have:

Gilmore 2years / $28m

Reddick 3 years/ $35m

Jackson 2 years / $20m

Jackson's numbers seemed lower than I first expected but between his size and some injury's he might not command as much on the open market as he is probably thinking.

As far as free agents to add goes, there are defiantly some LT types at the top of the list.  I'm sure they will be very expensive and very sought after.  If we go LT in the draft a #6 some of the IOL on the list are very tempting, such as Scherff and Tomlinson.  Later on the list there are guys like Williams and Corbett.  If we have a rookie LT it might not be a bad idea to spend some cap on at least one of the guard spots.

I wouldn't pay any of the Panthers' three free agents that much. If I'm paying that much it's going to be for top Oline help.

I agree 100%. Let Horn, Henderson, Bouye, Taylor and maybe a cheap vet hold down the CB spots and Burns/YGM/Fox rotate out for DE. No need to overpay for vets at this stage in our team development. Plus we might get some comps.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
