I am. I prefer to be in our current situation than in one where we’re locked into Fields for 3 more years without Horn. At least there is light at the end of the tunnel with Darnold’s last year under contract here. Fields, to date, is another Darnold and I’m glad we’re not locked into that longer term.

I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion but holy fug thats a lot to stomach.  You would rather have Darnold then Fields for 2022.  got it

They were the same garbage last year.

Yes, I’d rather only be locked into subpar QB play for 1 year instead of 3. Why would you prefer the opposite? Hope that Fields improves? Yea, we did that with Darnold.

I rather do it with the Packers. Both their 1sts, 1 of their 2nds, next year's 3rd, and Jordan Love should be enough. You address the QB situation by giving Daronld competition , and if Love works out a long term solution, picks to use at both D-line and O-line, and a 2nd for additional depth. Packers can go and get Aaron Rodgers on the of the best WRs in the class (Wilson, Olave, etc.)

At least Fields would actually be a rookie and not “basically a rookie” like Darnold…

He’s not a rook anymore. A second year QB that has been less successful than Trubisky in similar situations. Everyone ragged on Mitch while many here covet Fields. I don’t get it.

according to this draft chart: https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=car

The Chiefs would have to trade us 29, 30 and 50 in order to make it equitable (we'd likely have to give them a fifth rounder too)

I'm for trading down but if Evans, Ickey or even Cross is at 6 you have to wonder whether or not a franchise LT is worth more than those picks. God forbid all three of those are gone I do this trade in a heartbeat.

    • I believe Lloyd will elevate not just the whole unit, but also whoever his running mate is. Wallace is still very young, I think he's only 23 with two years of exp now. Cherelus can handle starting, he's just fighting with staying healthy. Kuwatch I think is going to be a contender after a couple week of understanding the system.  I mean Lee will be against..... what nearly 10 NFL-level WRs, he's going to get work and its up to him if he can hang.  I think its fair to expect 12th +/- 3 or 4 spots.  You know this, it boils down to how healthy everyone stays.....cause if dbrown, horn, Lloyd, Michael Jackson, or tervon miss extended time.....no way 10th can be reached. IF all the names above remain haethly, I do think 10th should be the goal. They are a young unit and added talent to a 16th ranked unit. Its time to march forward!!
    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
