Hey guys. Hope everybody is excited about the draft coming up. We have a doubleheader draft episode for y’all this week.

Dane Brugler (Part 1) and Austin Gayle (Part 2).

About an hour run time, each interview goes about 30 minutes.

By the way, check out the link below the pod tweet for Dane’s 2022 draft guide. If you don’t subscribe to The Athletic, Dane’s work is well worth it.

Thanks for listening, I hope you guys enjoyed it!

I subscribe to The Athletic for the content anyway, but even if I didn't, Brugler's draft guide would be worth the subscription price by itself.

Highly recommend it...

We talked about it after the show. Dude puts in endless hours on it. Nobody works harder, and it shows.

Are you on the record for who the Team will take at #6?

    • Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.
    • No one is upset.  And what I referred has been happening.   Patrick Mahomes has an offseason basketball clause in his contract.  A ton of other physical activites like jet skiing, baseball and all sorts of physical activities are written into his contract.  XL likely already has ATVs and stuff written into his contact.  League already has been inserting a lot of that stuff into basic contracts for non-top tier players and we have seen it pan out.
    • A payment for future production, puts him a cane for 9 seasons.
