Canes Vs Rangers Game 7

Tampa is gonna wreck New York so whatever.

Tampa was going to wreck either of these teams, along with Colorado or Edmonton (and we can probably throw Toronto in there also and maybe Calgary).

Unfortunately our team is built for the regular season and not the playoffs. Gotta have stars to carry you and outside of maybe aho, we don't have any other forwards that can carry us.

3 high stick non calls. You break our goalies leg, non call. At this point I don’t care about the win. How many rangers can we injure should be the third game. I’m not one to wish injuries in sports. But when your opponent is doing it and not getting called, that’s when you put the sports book nation on the edge.

I'd also say Tampa isn't as good as people think this season... Plus Point is done for the season.

Watch the clinic Tampa put on Florida on defense in their series. The commitment all of their players had to blocking shots was amazing. Our players have not shown anything close to that and instead decide to leave kreider wide open in front of the net on a PP...

We should, but we won't. Again, we have nobody on our team that has the balls to do that

This core has had four seasons to get it done and they just can’t. I think we know their ceiling. There needs to be significant changes in the offseason.

They say he’ll be back this series. Idk. It’s not Tampa of the past two seasons, it appears the league wants the rangers in the cup. Of the teams left. Let’s go Colorado. As much as I hate this current iteration. If they got rid of Kadri I’d be down with them.

    • I'll say 6. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition and will do more to help the defense than anyone. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole there. For all the hype surrounding Sanders and Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
    • 2010 was worse. Not much worse but worse.
    • Lol since 2017 the Panthers are 47-85,    Also since 2017 the Giants are 40-91-1   Lol
