Yeah which doesn’t exactly jive with the whole “learning the offense” narrative. His best game was his first start, and his performance basically declined more and more as the season went on.

I dunno. Seems like every QB we had got worse the more time they had to learn the system.

Likely points to coaching incompetence.

I'd say it's more about tape.

Once other teams have film on what you can and can't do, they adjust. Then you either adjust to their adjustments or you decline.

lol the day we were supposed to get GREAT news this comes out

The two had no connection.

And you've been predicting this for what, three years now? Still hasn't happened, and there's not much reason to believe it ever will.

New is not MVP Newton anymore. Whether or not you accept that doesn't really matter.

Cam = 17

Rivera's birthday is 1/7

2011 - when Panthers got Cam, Rivera - was the Panthers 17th season

1/7 of this season Clausen made a CAMeo for Rhule saying third time is a charm

You just do not get it do you?

Cam says one thing but reality shows otherwise. He started off great but as he played more he got worse and by the end of the season he was worse than Darnold. That shows me that it wasn’t him learning the playbook that was the problem as much as him being healthy. He was good when he first came back but as he got just a little west and tear on him he sucked. Also I assume they opened up the playbook as time went on. He was great when he was just doing short yardage and goal line situations but when he had to throw farther he couldn’t do it. That just shows me that the idea he can’t throw anymore is true.

The percentage of professional athletes capable of honestly and/or objectively evaluating their own performance is...small.

True. Most athletes have a big ego and are narcissistic. Considering how Cam acts when he runs for 2 yards, it shouldn’t be a surprise to hear him prop himself up and act like he’s great when he sucks.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
