Oh they got their super bowl but I remember the articles after being the Broncos that they would be around forever. 

They did mention that pass in the SI article "The dynasty that never was" as the tipping point that sent things down.

Yeah I think most of us will agree years ago they looked like they were gonna be a semi-dynasty with multiple Super Bowls. They did draft well but the Kam Chancellor injury was a big blow and of course the donkey brained pass in the SB pretty much ended any dynasty hopes. I think 25 years from now people won’t remember the legion of boom crap. Pete The Cheat is a cheater anyway.
