I think Rhule is actively trying to troll this fanbase for booing him. We also know that he doesn’t care if he gets fired or not because he can “get a job anywhere”.

If you got paid in full for 7 years of work then got fired 3 years in would you care?

It wasn't really hindsight. We needed a center because Paradis was ass. WR was a luxury pick. Bad pick. Long snappers are available as UDFA by the dozens for a reason. Take a risk on a day 2 guard that fell because of a medical concern. Bad pick. You didn't need to be a NFL gm to make those 2 picks. If you watched the games it was pretty obvious we needed to invest in our IOL.

Every team and gm in the league passed on him until the sixth round. Chiefs passed on him for five rounds. A center on the second round was a no brainer, but the sixth round guard? People need to let that one go, it is 100% hindsight.

It's in comparison to taking a long snapper. Which is the more rare talent at that point in the draft? A long snapper or a day 2 prospect with a medical condition that MAY affect his ability to play at a position we had need to fill? I liked any other pick except LS. It could have been another guard or center. LS just didn't make any sense.

I wasn't trying to insult you. I was saying, in a gm role, if you watched the games, IOL was a obvious need. And I said before, during and after the draft we needed a center and a guard. Creed was always on my wish list as a top 2 center and Smith was a plug and play guard talent I wanted as well. I thought he would go in round 5 after the medical. Rounds 2 and 3 are like round 1 for IOL. I had wanted McCoy the year we took little. But really, it comes down to we needed IOL, had the opportunity and failed to seize it.

As I said, I agree.

I think taking a LS in round six was asinine. But the ongoing complaints from many posters that we were the stupid ones not drafting him when nobody else did either until Chiefs did in the sixth round is a bit much. We’ve done plenty of stupid stuff, but that one is a stretch.

I just look at that round and what we did. We took a long snapper with an obvious need for a guard, as evidenced by taking Brown later in the round. Regardless of what any other team did, even not knowing how Smith would turn out, it made more sense to take Smith, a day 2 prospect at that pick, and a LS later if we had to have one. I know we're only talking about 6th round picks and most of them bust anyway. I just really liked Humphrey and Smith coming out of college and was really disappointed we didn't get either when we had prime opportunities. I watch offensive linemen closer than any position going into the draft.

I was hoping for Humphrey as well, that one was a hard pill to swallow no doubt.

...nothing to do with handsome or talent and not sure how you drew that conclusion...but oh well... hes always been a distraction on every team hes been on and rants like a child when he doesnt get his way.... had he not gotten injured he would have been a distraction for the Rams..

He’s been an elite talent everywhere he’s been….his teammates love him.
