Just cause you have money doesn't make you greedy. Just cause you don't have money doesn't make you giving either. Either way he's definitely hard headed and doesn't like to admit he's wrong. We're about to see how far his narcissistic traits run as well. Because keeping Rhule the fool is looking more and more foolish.

If Tepper gets rid of Rhule it can go a long way...because i honestly believe he wants to win. He just doesn't know HOW to go about doing it and cant admit his mistakes. He wants to be successful quickly and is definitely more assertive in that aspect then JR was.

people were so quick to escort JR out the the door, they creamed their pants when Tepper bought the team. be careful what you wish for.

Its one thing if JR just needed to step down because his time ran its course, but with the allegations attached to him he had to go. The speed at which he was pushed out justifies that alone.

Tepper talked so much smack when he got the team.  "All I want is wins"  He talked about building a winning culture around here but the only culture he's building is Detroit South.  It's embarrassing.

Firing Rhule so soon would ruin his ego that he always makes the right decision.   I think deep down he wants to let him go but then he would have to face scrutiny from the media as to why so soon.

I think he hatss having to address that issue.

The way you win is finding experience and creating a good FO. That went out the window when he let Rhule have full control. JR built a great FO but just had terrible choices for GMs. That's been proven with what the Bills put together with our former coaches and staff. Tepper needs to let Fitt be a GM and a HC be a head coach. The rest will fall in place.

I dont see where he is not letting Fitt be a GM...the problem from what i am seeing is that Fitt is still deferring to Rhule because his control was already in place. This is the issue when you bring in a coach then a new GM later. It never works,  just like gettleman and Rivera. The GM should always be put in place first then let them hire a HC.

This is like when you have been at something a long time, and your new boss is green. But the boss is headstrong, having had prior success in his prior positions which has elevated them to the New role he now inhabits. Which is not the same game he was in but that doesn’t matter to him he has succeeded at everything. He will on this.

As things come up, you pretty much know what is going to result from a given course of action, because you learned the hard way.

But you can’t criticize the boss’ plan if it is not right. Keep doing that he won’t want you around.
So the bottom line is you have to tread water waiting for the boss to figure it out. This is a process that consists of a hundred more similar scenarios.
Unless the new boss has so much talent and potential that you know it will pay off, it is a crappy way to make a paycheck.

This is the football people with Tepper (it is also the fans).

Down the chain, it is likely the pro guys with the college guys.

    • That's a very incorrect statement right off the bat, coaches get fired for winning ugly all the time.  Every coach of a playoff team that then gets fired, got fired because they won ugly and didn't improve their players enough to win in the postseason. Guys like Andy Reid have been fired for "winning ugly" like you said, because they kept winning in spite of the improvement of their players. Also, "this is a fanbase starved for wins" is a statement I also don't agree with, I'm not "starved for wins", I'm "starved for a winning and contending franchise" which are two VERY different things. If the team and fans just want to win some games, then that's a loser mentality, sorry, but it is.  We should want to contend, not win a handful of games.  Every time this comes up I point back to the Lions the last 5 years or so.  They were losing games but improving every week while doing so a few years back.  THAT is how you improve as a franchise and move the needle towards contending, not winning games ugly.
    • Good lord. I don’t think I have ever seen a hole that open.
    • this is true.  But NFL Ss and defenses are actively taking that away and playing to take them away vs most teams.  The problem thus far in BY's career......is they are cheating and not respecting the deep game which makes the smaller/mid range game harder to pull off.  and Dallas is an anomaly game.  using those random games that run counter to vast work......doesn't really change the discussion/issues in Carolina.  Bryce Young took the shots this week because they were not just NFL open but college open.    Wide open dudes downfield that really were coverage busts/issues.
