We probably can't.

What I'm looking at right now are connections, and the biggest one that I know of with Steichen is to Steve Wilks.

Mind you, connections aren't everything, but we don't have a whole lot else to go on right now.

yeah i think right now trying to create a pattern to understand who could it be would be as useful as chasing your tail. Just going to lead you in circles with no results.

If Tepper hires consultants and they land on Steichen, then the connections wont matter. I could see Steichen bringing a lot of the former chargers coaching staff over and Alex Tanney from the Eagles over as his OC.

Why the hell he didnt just hire a football guy as President from the start and just sit back for a couple of years to observe I will never understand.  He could be totally hands off and still be adored by the fans

Early on, Tepper seemed to think that people who were good at one thing (soccer, for example) would automatically also be good at something else (like football).

Jerry Richardson had that same notion, and it worked out equally as well (i.e. not at all).

Likewise, Tepper repeated another Richardson mistake, that being trusting the wrong people. In one case, the exact same person (Marty Hurney).

Dunno why she randomly tweeted it but lots of twitter comments about the very audible ping pong table games going on when they're interviewing players after losses. Guys acting all distressed on camera when people are laughing it up in the background

it could be a stress reliever... we used to do that on my high school basketball team. Coach felt it was a good way to get our minds off of the loss, and clear our thoughts. Then come back together and think it through.

Funny enough, I also did that at a design studio when we had a rough client call.

Rhules wifes meatballs netted them 70 million

How many times have they about that in the past 48 hours?

The thought of the scene that must have unfolded will never not be hilarious to me. Marty voraciously shoving meatballs into his face hole as Matt Rhule gives some bullshit high school motivational speaker speech about his "process" while Tepper sits there grinning like an idiot watching the whole sad scene play out like a proud papa.

When they were discussing the 7 year terms of the deal the wife had to leave the kitchen before she busted out laughing

...and if there is any validity to it.........Charlotte and the Panthers are in for a ride and it's not going to be pretty.

That sounds pretty awesome to me, actually.  He needs to bring that same attitude to the Panthers.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
