So…our new head coach has been on the job for 4 days.  He has to travel across country to LA to take on the defending Super Bowl champions with our 4th string QB.

And people here are already questioning what we might do here?  We are going to be a totally different team?

This board is completely crazy

Give this man a few weeks at least…damn

They have all the basic game plays every team does, you just run more or less of whatever ones you want. Not too hard to realize we're not good at rushing 4 so we'll probably blitz more, maybe Wilks can convince McAdoo to run the ball more, pretty basic stuff to start that can have the team looking quite a bit different

There will be calls for firing him in game day thread during the first offensive possession.

Aside from that,  I hope there is a different philosophy in game planning and more tenacity but I suspect this will be subtle and take time for it to be consistently noticeable. If this happens the team will actually look like an NFL team by the end of the season.  Considering the current state of things, I think this is a major accomplishment although I doubt it will have a meaningful impact on the record.

Exactly…he is already talking execution and toughness but this next game can’t reflect on this guy as a coach.

Totally on board for giving him a chance even though with a 4th string QB it isn’t a realistic scenario

If you haven't noticed The Rams aren't exactly taking the league by storm this year, and Kupp/Donald didn't practice today with foot injuries. Very winnable game

I hate this idea that the team we are playing sucks.  Not true…every team in the NFL can we any week.

Uh yeah that's why I'm saying we are the other team and can win, especially in light of the fact that they haven't played that great and their best players are injured. Don't worry I'm not going to be upset with Wilks if he doesn't win his first game

Don’t be upset if he doesn’t win any games…he was placed in the worst situation to succeed.  My point

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
