McDavid won't beat anyone by himself and, aside from Draisaitl, there's not really another offensive threat on the roster.

We need to stay out of the penalty box, the Oilers PP1 is pretty potent.  They move the puck well.

If we stay outta the box I think we win.

It's early in the season the guy didn't get a start until game 8 last year, he's not the starter and it's not a 1A 1B situation Freddie is clearly the #1.  I don't think you see him agaist opponents like Edmonton or Calgary... The one day in between is a bit silly since you know the playoffs are all one day between.
