Fair but I'd rather take a shot on Stroud than have Justin Fields. 😛

The fact he doesn't scramble/run at all is concerning to me. He's a good passer but I'm not seeing any guy worth tanking for and demoralizing our good young defense in the process. I'll take Hendon in round 2 and let him/PJ/Corral battle it out

Id rather, right now, have a year two project in Justin Fields than any other QB we have trotted out on the field the last 3 years.

Well, I agree with that lol but that’s not really the trade-off. We’re talking Fields vs. Horn. More or less a JAG with an extremely high ceiling who is showing signs of improvement as of late, vs. a corner playing at an All-Pro level who has struggled to see the field. You can make a case for either; it’ll come down to whether Fields continues progressing and if Horn becomes one of those disappointing perennially injured all-world talents.

Horn has the CMC thing going. He’s all world when healthy but we haven’t had him on the field much. Two years and two injuries that have caused him to miss significant time. And without both of them we played our most complete game of the year.

    • All good solids points. I think after the RB and LB, is kicker the next spot among "Legacy" panther spot?? Kasay, gano, butkler, Eddie(best all-time %), Slye, Lloyd the touch back god, Mare, lols.....  Fitz...*right now* feels a combo of all the best panther ones. With the new rules, Fitz is either first or second in starting field position form KOs. He's a weapon and ten yards do matter.
    • "Plays well" vs "near historic performance" are pretty different things. It's important to keep in mind the Cowboys passing defense is league worst and their run defense is nearly so, for sure. But one of those two players vastly outperformed what most other players have done versus the Cowboys and the other had fewer yards than typical (but still played very well imo, and did all we needed him to). Rico pretty much doubled up virtually every other single back that has played the Cowboys.  So yeah I get why people would be surprised that Rico is so far down the list of O players.
    • Trevin and Rozeboom remind me (obviously at a smaller scale) of when they had Beason as the mic and Luke beside him. Luke looked very average and was out of position a lot until he swapped to mic. REALLY hoping this is another case of that. Just on eye test alone that swap has been a night and day difference.
