The height argument is overblown. A good qb will manipulate the pocket and open up throwing lanes with his feet.

It’s exactly why Bryce Young should be the number one pick no matter what. His ability to move within the pocket to extend plays is something not even the most physically gifted qbs can do.

The height of Young is a problem.. But the weight is even more of a problem.. Not to many sub 200 lb QB make it in the NFL or make it thru a season.. And he’s already dealing with injuries..

Get the man outside pocket the once in a while and he gets the job done.

No drive or down killing batted balls.

Why didn't they try to get Baker outside the pocket when they had that constant problem?

Because he couldn't get his footwork untangled or he just wasn't comfortable doing it?

P.J same height as Mayfield. What was the deal?

Yeah, size can be overblown as a problem but a lot of the smaller NFL QB's are built like RB's. Young is very, very slight. Much more like Robby Anderson than Murray or Wilson or Hurts.

Just even mentally picturing someone this size getting blindsided by a Julius Peppers or a Chandler Jones makes you wonder how they would avoid winding up in traction.

It's not just because he's outside the pocket. Offensive line technique can get defenders arms down and they weren't adjusting early on with Rhule here. I think the tandem of mcadoo and Wilks is 25 times what McAdoo and Rhule was.

I'd like to see Baker get another shot with Wilks as the head coach.
