5-4 with the best young core of offense in the league! What a coach… He just got his ass handed to him by the Browns with Brissett and you were crickets. So crushing Wilks and the Panthers suddenly redeems him?

Just like losing a division road game seems to condemn him. Best player out today. Only throws 28 passes. One loss was when QB had 5 TOs. And PK still could have won with EP. Other losses by a FG on road to DAL and BALT. How did all that talent get there. Wasn’t that supposed to be an awful OL. Shouldn’t a team that is “close” provide more of a challenge.

Any amount you want they make the playoffs again. They were 4-4 last year too.

They have been having issues on offense from the OL they went all on in the offseason to the passing game which is loaded with talent. He is going to need Burrow to carry his ass again while getting sacked 6 times a game in the playoffs if they make it. You are the only rider of this self made Zac Taylor Hype Train.

How did all that talent get there? Burrow was because Taylor was such a shitty coach his team finished last and he got the top pick which had an elite player waiting there. Chase got there because Burrow got hurt due to lack of OL and they had a top 10 pick again (because you know he is such a good coach) and Burrow advocated for his old teammate.

Man with the AFC North having a down year the Bengals should have a nice lead on top, but their offense has been underachieving. Isn’t Taylor an offensive coach? Also stop bragging about close losses. That falls on coaching as well.

Sure. My hype train for a young HC who is coming off a SB and, at worst, is a game out of the division. A real one even in a down year. Not the NFCS. And OL with that many new pieces take time to learn each other. Seemed to do well today. And they still have a winning record.

The talent was chosen. Many teams choose poorly no matter where they pick. And they had a better record with Brandon Allen and Ryan Findlay than with Burrow that year. How is that possible?

Why should they have a “nice” lead on a 5-3 BAL team? Maybe if Burrow didn’t turn it over 5 times in the opener. I get it. As usual for this fan base….”everything good is on everyone else. Everything bad is blamed on the target. SSDD.

Blaming Burrow vs Taylor 😂😂😂  Burrow is the reason Taylor has a job still.  He willed that team for their playoff run while getting sacked more than any winning QB in the playoffs.  The best thing Taylor ever did was suck so bad that he was able to draft Burrow.  I'll give him that...

Still laughing at the bragging about close losses for the HC.  That's what Rhule would do last year 😂😂

Sure he is. And every HC who has had a good QB is downgraded to being “carried.”  Their defense gave up only 20/GM and only 3 in second half at KC. A game Burrow got sacked once. Rhule was rarely close enough to use that line of thinking. Considering you think anyone could just walk in there and be successful is what is comical. Just like counting picking 1st was a mark against him even though the team chose to rebuild his first year. Like I said, anything good is in spite of him. That’s reasonable(lol) and definitely something to laugh at. How successful does he have to be to get credit? Win every SB for a decade?

If you are so sure make the bet. Any bet. You want me gone so you can maintain the echo chamber. Make the bet. I’ll leave forever if the Bengals don’t make 2nd round of playoffs. If they do, you will have a Zac Taylor avatar….from now on.

I don't want you gone.  I want you to be happy!  Let go of this built up aggression towards our little struggling franchise in Charlotte.  Stop holding grudges from posts that other people made about you 10 months plus ago.  Be free Toomers!  Be happy!  Go get your Pickett jersey and hope your Steelers go on a run!

I haven’t got one thing against the Panthers. Why would I? Stop jumping into conversations you have no idea of the context(that one post was from a year ago…many many more) then. Or hiding digs in random threads like a coward. It wasn’t me taking a shot at you was it?  I didn’t call you a troll. I didn’t get into a discussion you were having did I?

If you can come up with a better word for calling me out without telling me, I’ll listen. That’s just one that wouldn’t get me banned.

Why not answer the relevant questions? Who started this? Who kept it going? Sure wasn’t me because I never thought about it again until I read that post.

    • Nothing wrong with starting to look for bodies early. It's a long injury filled season. I doubt we get through unscathed.
    • We're in alignment regarding Thielen not being a game changer/breaker for the Panthers. Getting the ball into hands of playmakers like TMac and XL is going to open up things more than it is getting it to Thielen underneath (or letting him go after 50/50 balls 20yds downfield in his mid-30s). However, in a room where the other guys are two second year guys and two rookies, having a reliable vet that they can learn from is just as important as it is for the QB to have as a reliable third option. I can see that being worth $8.5M (just 3%) of the $279.2M cap... especially when looking at what's left out there: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/position/wr However, the idea that the team is forcing production to Thielen and leading to losses isn't supported by the data. Targets, not receiving yards, are how you can tell if a player is being "force fed." In the two games mentioned, let's look at the other players available... vs. TB 10 targets - Adam Thielen 9 targets - David Moore 8 targets - Tommy Tremble, Xavier Legette 3 targets - Jonathon Brooks 1 target - Dan Chisena, Feleipe Franks, Stephen Sullivan vs. PHI 11 targets - Adam Thielen 8 targets - Xavier Legette 5 targets - Chuba Hubbard, David Moore 2 targets - Tommy Tremble 1 target - Ja'Tavion Sanders, Deven Thompkins There isn't exactly a bounty of other names to throw the ball to. In those games, AT was one of the top 2 WRs. Diontae had been gone by that point.   So... yea. Agreed that Thielen isn't exactly carrying the team in his mid-30s, but it's undeniable that he was the most reliable target last season that still has quite a bit of value this season. Whether or not that value is reflected in a manner folks think on the contract is going to come down to personal taste. However, the idea that the team was forcing production to AT and that was the reason behind some losses couldn't be further from the truth.
    • I would also add that I think it's more than money.  AT has looked absolutely miserable out there at times, and there was a lot of speculation he would demand to be traded.  Personally, I thought he was a lock to be moved last year.  Maybe his hamstring is the only thing that prevents that from happening. The fact that he's not only willing to come back and play, but excited about it, really bodes well for Bryce.  AT is a veteran and he knows the game.  If he didn't have confidence in Bryce, I guarantee you he wouldn't be in a Panther uniform this year.  I'll take that as a positive.
