Richardson has a ton of physical talent but he’s a long way from being a franchise QB in the NFL.  It’s not impossible that he makes that leap, but I wouldn’t bet on it happening with this Panthers organization unfortunately.

He is going to our pick.  I just feel it.  But then again I was 100% certain we were drafting Mac Jones.   I don’t know poo

Choose the right HC, OC and you increase the odds that any of these first round QB’s will be starter material in 2-3 years.  Would love to see Richardson and Corral compete under competent HC and OC.

I know folks aren’t super high on him here but if we drafted him over Horn we would likely have a better outlook right now and fans would be happier.

He is a guy that makes sense if you have a abive average to elite QB on your roster and can take a flier on him in the 2nd to 4th rounds. A developmental guy.

He is likely to be an unmitigated disaster as a first round pick on a team like ours. The fans will be clamoring for him as soon as he is drafted and if he develops at all, it's going to take some time.

It would not work out here.

We are picking too high for him. We are going Stroud or Young.

I would like to think that a competent coaching staff would say, ‘no’, to starting him before he is ready.  Fans don’t get to make that call.

It's not just fans that push moves like that.

Also, who the fug would start over him? Corral?

Any bridge FA veteran that can walk and chew gum at the same time. Corral may or may not make the roster next year; I’m indifferent either way.  Camp competition will sort that out.

Where we appear to differ, I don’t think a really good HC and OC will risk ruining the rookie QB by throwing him to the wolves his first season.  Too much draft capital at risk to do that.  JMO, YMMV

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
