Dabo is either an evil genius or as dumb as he sounds.

It's unreal they have started that kid as long as they did. He was very clearly the biggest problem on that offense. I mean....VERY clearly.

Dabois dumb as a brick. But college coaching is recruiting and he can recruit his ass off. He can charm the hell out of these southern mamas with his Bible beating and aw shucks personality. He's a helluva college coach. Bama will go after him hard when Saban retires. Clemson should just hand him a blank check and tell him to write his own number.

Dabo is loyal and they did make the ACC Championship game.  Klunick played earlier this season and was average.  Clemson is in between great years.  They aren’t going anywhere in the ACC.

Klubnik showed great flashes. He just turns the ball over when pressured. UNC's D can't pressure. It's the perfect situation.

Yeah, no poo. DJ is awful. Klubnik is a turnover machine when pressured but we can't pressure anybody. DJ is gonna hit the portal. Maybe UAB needs a QB. I can't imagine a decent P5 team being interested.

Turnover machine?  Cade has 1 INT on the year.

He was pressured like crazy in that 17 point comeback win vs Syracuse.

he was put in a horrible spot in that ND game for his 1 pick.   A defender he didn’t see stepped in front of a pass that was on point.

The rest of us watched those games too. The kid presses and throws pickable balls when pressured. He's young. He'll grow. But that's why Dabo was so hesitant to go to him. DJ was just so awful last week and early tonight and he's playing a D that can't generate pressure that the change makes all the sense in the world now.

Cade has been the best QB since spring.  That’s not saying a lot because DJ sucks but he wasn’t #2 on the depth chart because DJ was the better option.  DJ topped the depth chart because Dabo thought the nation was too hard on a good kid and he wanted to prove the world wrong and reward a good kid for doing all the right things.  But he wasn’t starting all year because Dabo didn’t have faith Cade was be better.

he is a true freshmen.  He isn’t going to be perfect.  I don’t expect the 2nd half to look like the first…..but calling him a turnover machine is bogus.   Probably a poor time to argue it after the kid scored on every drive he had.

    • And those targets are mostly going to TMac, who will be a part of the FUTURE of the team. Did it remove the most reliable WR and Bryce's safety blanket? Absolutely. But it's also allowing him to build better chemistry with TMac, Stephens, Horn, Evans, etc. I am pumped to see Coker back and hopefully they can reignite that connection.
    • It's the same thing that made Bryce the #1 overall pick. I've never seen such mass delusion about a football player before. Everyone convinced themselves that the fact that Bryce was below to severely below average in practically every physical attribute for an NFL QB just wouldn't matter because he has everything else you need and that'll more than make up for it. When has such an argument ever been made for an NFL prospect before? We watch prospects plummet every year because they run a couple tenths slower in the 40 time than expected. Smitty had everything you want in a receiver except he was 5'9" so he goes in the 3rd round. That's the way these things generally go. If you check a lot of boxes but leave some key ones unchecked you're not an elite prospect. With Bryce though, the physically limitations were always obvious so it gave more time to be able to build that into the equation and come up with reasons for why he'd be able to overcome it. Now we have all these same shortcomings having shone brightly on the NFL field and we STILL have people trying to convince themselves he'll be able to overcome it while ignoring that our past two wins and his improved play have come while riding the back of RB putting up GOAT RB production over the past two weeks. What changed wasn't Bryce. What changed is that Rico is playing out of his damn mind. Pretty much every NFL roster caliber QB can shine if he can get 200+ yards out of the RB behind him.
