He thinks Young is the next Patrick Mahomes. If other GMs actually thought this the Bears phones would be blowing up. It’s easy to hype your guy up and say sensational things like “the next Mahomes” when your career isn’t on the line. The Bears aren’t risking it and rightfully so. Get more picks and address one of their other 1000 needs.

Young is going to be great,  I really don’t understand how people can’t see what this guy is.  He is a superstar.  Any team that passes on him will regret it

Chicago gets a elite pass rusher and still can get a WR for Fields at #9.

This isn’t the NBA. It will be picks for pick. So I’d suppress that feeling so you don’t over exert yourself.

I mean the other way around hurts too… this gm and HC didn’t draft Fields. Landing the number 1 pick as a GM only happens once (if it happens) … so you have to make the decision that promotes yourself and the team the best. If there are back door convos between him and the bears HC about not believing fields is their QB (no one has had a closer look than them) then it’s not going to be as bold we think.

 

pure speculation. I’m just saying that if they made that decision there would Be data to support it. The money piece is a good point as well but that’s more auxiliary.

You realize that we would be overpaying ? You would be better off trading burns for the 2 firsts and 3 seconds then use some of the picks to take the 1 spot.

That is actually a lot.

 

The Bears want the DE from Alabama, but getting Burns who is already a young pro bowl DE would be great for them and on top of it they get the #9 pick. 

 

Without Burns it would probably take 3 1st round picks.
