The BCS Bowl Thread....

TCU and Boise State got screwed.

It is like they got relegated to the JV Championship game.

Not saying that neither were deserving of a BCS bid...they were. Just that if I were a member of that team I would have rather got the chance to play one of the bigger named teams to prove that I was deserving.

The Fiesta Bowl is a lose-lose for both teams. Lose the game and you give ammunition that you were never deserving. Win the game and alot of people just say you were the better of the non-BCS teams and you still did not play anyone.

TCU played some good teams and had some decent wins. I don't think Texas deserves the spot in the NC though.

Agreed....I think TCU and Boise St are probably just as good as any of the other BCS teams.

Looks like the BCS did not want their little scheme being turned on its ear. If TCU and Boise St upset their BCS conf Champions, it is not good business.

So, what do the cock suckers do? They relegate them to a game where they can do no harm.

Shameless.

This is what I think. TCU is one of the best teams in the entire country.this bowl game is a win-win for the BCS

Problem is nobody wants to play those teams. I saw an article on ESPN on Boise State's offer to play anyone at their house and nobody took them up on their offer. If I can find the article, I'll post it. That's the main reason why TCU, Boise St., and Cincy can't play anybody, nobody wants to schedule them

So the BCS should put the in National Title Game out of sympathy?

    • You can't keep around a former #1 pick as the backup to his replacement because he wasn't good enough. I think he has two career paths he can take.   The first is as that guy who signs with a new team every year to be the gap starter and/or backup depending on that team's situation.  Think guys like Jameis, Wilson, Brissett the last few years, as he'll be a game manager for them while they try to re-build the roster. The other is as a really good long term backup QB for one team.  He's smart and will make for a great addition to the QB room in film study and game prep.  He won't be a stud replacement if the starter goes down, but he'd be better than most other backups and you know he'll be ready to play when called upon.
    • This is really an offseason topic, but its better than talking in circles about Bryce
