Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina

Andre Carter II, Edge, Army

Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama 

Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU

Garrett Williams, CB, Syracuse 

No TE or DT, but damn that’s pretty strong IMO.

93. Carolina Panthers(from SF)

Andre Carter II, Edge, Army

Carter could land in an ideal spot in Carolina. He will have a chance to grow with the other young defensive players to add strength and mass to his 6-6 frame, while spending time primarily as a designated pass-rusher early in his career. After racking up 15.5 sacks in 2021, Carter had just three last season.

To'oTo'o played in 23 games (22 starts) and recorded 148 tackles, 15 TFL and 1.5 sacks during his two-year stint with Tennessee. In 2021, he transferred to Alabama and totaled 112 tackles, eight TFL and four sacks. He has average height with a linear build and longer arms, and his top-end speed on tape is very good. His recognition skills, especially versus the run, really showed improvement throughout the 2021 season. He's quick to locate the ball, and he has very good short-area burst, change-of-direction quickness and closing speed versus the run, with great range from sideline to sideline. To'oTo'o gets stuck on blocks too long when he doesn't use his fast eyes and quick hands to prevent blockers from enveloping him. He's not a thumper, but he's a reliable tackler with good short-area sting at the point of attack and long arms to lasso ball-carriers in space. As a blitzer, he shows good instincts and very good burst but gets knocked off course too easily when reached. And in coverage, To'oTo'o can be a quarter-count late with his eyes too often, but he has the fluidity, change-of-direction skills and closing burst to continue to improve in this area.

Boutte (pronounced boo-TAY) grew up 90 minutes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, starring at Westgate High School to earn top-100 recruit status in the 2020 class. He took advantage of star receiver Ja'Marr Chase's decision to opt out of the 2020 season and earned Freshman All-American and SEC All-Freshman Team honors by leading the Tigers with 735 receiving yards (45 receptions, 16.3 per, five TDs in 10 games, five starts). He set an SEC-record with 308 receiving yards against Ole Miss that season. Boutte started the first six games of the 2021 season (38-509-13.4, nine TDs) but missed the rest of the year with a right ankle injury -- and required a second surgery on that injury in the following spring. In 2022, Boutte started 10 of 11 games played, catching 48 passes for 538 yards (11.2) and two scores. He missed one game (versus New Mexico) in September 2022 to be there as his girlfriend gave birth to their first child. He switched jersey numbers from No. 1 to 7 his junior season, following in the footsteps of other playmakers from Louisiana, such as DJ Chark, Leonard Fournette, Tyrann Mathieu, Patrick Peterson and Derek Stingley Jr. He originally decided to return to LSU for 2023 but ultimately declared for the draft and opted out of the team's bowl game to prepare. -- by Chad Reuter

Bama fan here. Not a fan of this pick. Not physical enough for the NFL and never played up to what other Tide LBs have in the past.

Williams redshirted his first year with the Orange, playing in four games on special teams with no statistics, but became one of the top cornerbacks in the ACC in 2020 (64 tackles, three for loss with one sack, two interceptions, one returned for a score, in 11 starts). He tied for the conference lead with 10 pass breakups to earn honorable mention all-league notice. The former all-region pick at Hickory Ridge High School in North Carolina was an honorable mention All-ACC pick in 2021, tying for the conference lead once more with 10 breakups, in addition to posting 52 tackles, five for loss, in 10 starts. Williams was an honorable mention pick again in 2022 (36 tackles, 1.5 for loss, two interceptions, three pass breakups in seven starts) despite missing the second half of the season with a torn ACL. -- by Chad Reuter

      I guess I should have stipulated outside the sacred cow.   I complained from year one that Bryce should compete for and win the starting job on his own merit but no he was just handed it. I have been right there with everyone that wants competition.  But I don’t really have a huge problem with it for this season the way it has gone because where are the viable people we don’t have to trade for? I actually am okay with tiny hands Pickett because he is so close to Bryce arm strength wise and to be honest, skill wise. Probably. And it is only a one year deal.  That also takes I to account that the QB class is looking stacked next year and if Young fails miserably then we get either a reset or a real competition and there will be more guys that I would like looking at in the FA QB class next year as well.    I sort of accept where we are this year and look at it as a treading water year. I just want to get to next year with some clarity. More than anything. And they did empty out the room. Again, who was really there for us?  And I know it would not be a true competition at this point anyway. They are giving him the year, like it or not.    Also I don’t give a poo about winning games IF he sucks and or goes down after sucking because draft position and that stacked QB class.  And I want out from under him So Bad.     So I guess it is several factors that lessen my anxiety over his backup this particular season.    I am not trying to convince anyone, but you asked.

      think these smaller Qb's are going to have a much harder time convincing an NFL team to draft them. not saying a smaller Qb under 6 feet tall will not make an NFL roster .it will most likely be a UDFA contract more or less prove it deal.NFL teams have been burnt time & time again investing in these small NFL Qbs & i think  teams are now finally starting to realize that investing in these smaller Qb's under 6 feet tall is simply a bad idea  ...just saying
