Well Bryce Young was molded pretty damn well and it won't be difficult to get him to a polished product. But to extend the analogy, he has less clay than AR to work with. It largely depends on the confidence, skill, and ambition of the artist and the courage of the financier to get the return on their investment.

There have been a few GMs that have said they are glad they don't have to make that decision this year. Undoubtedly because they all have some traits you love, but each has some potential weaknesses that may haunt you.

Would 33 not have the same value as next year's 1st?  This year's top 2nd round pick vs next year mystery 1st round pick.

2 of the top 3 have weaknesses you can potentially fix with good coaching

Houston would have to win the superbowl to make it a worse pick than 33. I think the Panthers want a number 1 receiver next year, and thar doesn't exist this year.

If you think Stroud (or AR) can be the man, you absolutely take that trade. I think the Panthers would ask for #12 or a future 1st, but more likely to get #33.

Technically the #2 pick of the second round. It's in a higher position because there are only 31 first-round picks.

Obviously he is not, but if he is the Panthers and the Texans far away number 1 for this year, you gotta pay for the luxury to make that decision.

I'm a believer in asking for the most ridiculous package you can as a start to negotiations
