Slowly and surely sounds like who we are picking isn't who we thought we'd pick when we traded up.

“There were inclinations early… the conviction built gradually for us coaches… the scouts were ahead of us”

Sounds like Fitt knew who he wanted and Reich liked him but needed to go through the process and confirm what he thought originally.

Oh my you actually believed a random rumor on reddit?

It's amazing how a random person can go to reddit make up a rumor and it spreads on the internet.

Meanwhile the real insiders have all been saying Bryce Young is the pick...

I didn’t say I believed it. I just think the timing lining up with what Reich said in the presser is interesting. I hope it’s not Levis at one, just because I don’t think he’s worth what they gave up but we’ll see.

I’ll only start to believe it when either:

1. A reliable reporter starts to pick up on it.

or

2. He becomes the odds on favorite in the next 24-48 hours.

You're getting trolled like everyone else my man. Snap out of it!

I don't think Levis was ever in the conversation.  I also don't think Stroud was either, despite the rumors that the coaches and front office didn't want Young at all and wanted Stroud.

One such site that actually mentions that rumor is walterfootball.

To add

I 100% think AR was the original target in the trade up and Tepper nixed it.

Well…I won’t be shocked if it’s Levis now. I’m going to go ahead and assume it is so I get a head start on the homer coping I need to do.

I still would.

Now with that said, a lot of the talk going around about the guy smells like bullsh-t.

I caught a tape of his post pro day presser (below)

None of the stuff about him being a jerk, being immature, thinking he's already great and/or won't have to work hard in the NFL...none of that shows up here. He comes off as a young kid with a big opportunity ahead of him just trying to get ready for it.

Again, I don't see him being our pick, but I do think some people here are being unfair to him.

Do you remember the Fitt quotes a few days ago when he put Bryce Young above the rest?

If Levis is the guy why didn't he single him out?

You're seriously asking why an NFL GM wouldn't just throw something out there to give away who he's picking?

Yikes 🙄

I believe Young is the pick (same as most of us) but have mercy what a dumb line of reasoning 😖

Fitt just a few days ago said Young stood out above the other QB's. Cmon man don't let a random reddit insider try to convince you otherwise.

Trading up to the #1 pick for Levis doesn't even seem realistic. We would be crucified if we drafted him #1. Some things just don't make sense. This fake rumor is one of those things.

The fan base would be pissed off and we'd be a laughingstock in the league and media

    • I'm not sure that in a fair QB competition that Young would beat out Jones.
    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high. Richardson's misses looked like they were maybe fixable with working on his footwork, release, etc. Josh Allen's misses looked like "ain't no way you're fixin' that poo, dude has a cannon equipped with no sights". LOL Huge props to the Bills for evaluating him as fixable and indeed fixing him.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently).
