Man this thread is fickle. First time they’ve faced any semblance of adversity and we’re all throwing in the towel?

devils are a good team but we’re better. We may drop this one but they aren’t taking this series. 
 

The missed double minor on the high stick to Aho would have negated Hughes goal. The shorty is hard to defend Freddy on but he was lights out the first two games.

Still think we advance if the series goes seven games but I’d like to see the Canes actually look like a hockey team when they go on the road.

We gotta control the neutral and start shifting momentum. The devils will wear down. That said Freddie has to be perfect here on out.

I would say, it is more matchups than anything. Remember, home team gets last line change.

They've been a lot better this year than last year on the road in the playoffs.

A couple of ill-timed pinches by dmen played a big part on goals 2 and 3. We should know our scouting - the Devils offense consists of counters and odd-man breaks. You don't let them get that, they struggle to score (see games 1 and 2)

I would be okay with losing a close one. We are getting dominated. We are getting out hit and NJ is winning the board battles. This will give NJ a ton of confidence moving into game 4.

Nah. We are playing against a team fighting for their playoff lives. They are coming out strong. Freddie’s got to keep this a 1-0 game though in the first. Our boys are going to come out strong.

For sure but we can’t keep using that as an excuse. Guys are going to have step up.
