Roster Projection part II

Another week, more waiting.  Football needs to arrive!!!!!

From reading reports and quotes by other players I can 100% see Nash Jensen making the 53.  Honestly, I want someone to step up so we can send Irving packing.  My bottom 5 on the roster to get to 53 are: (53.) Rowe (52.) Leota  (51.) STO (50.) C. Irving (49.) Byrd.  My last 5 to cut are (1.) YGM, (2.) Coleman (3.) R. Wright (4.) Brandon Smith (5.) D. Wright.

We need depth in the secondary.  I only have kept Rowe because he can play both CB and Safety, but if Jammie steps up Rowe becomes replaceable.  If I had to choose between YGM and Leota I am choosing the younger player who we can control during his development.  Unless YGM breaks out, he is hampering the development of others behind him.  I chose Byrd because he is different from the other WR's in the room.  He's a legit speed guy.  I could see Viska returning kickoffs or punts, he does really well in Madden at that! (lol)  I don't see anyone signing R. Wright or B. Smith to a gameday 53 week 1 if we don't.  That gives us at least the opportunity to keep them as our protected 4.

Dude, I know that you probably copied and pasted from before, and I'm not necessarily trying to be a smartass, but you need to fix Matt "Carrol's" name next time.

Mingo is WR3, not TMJ according to the official depth chart.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
