Against the worst pass defense in the NFL….

And the fact that you’re pushing that around without context is what makes it a narrative. Because it fuels your misguided notions about Bryce. As a “mod” you should be better than this, but this is why the huddle is so trash.

Through three games. Yeah, I think the Falcons and Saints have better defenses than the Seahawks. But if you didn't see Dalton getting pressured and still maintaining his composure and making reads and throws I can't help you. It wasn't that our passing offense looked a little better with Dalton, it's that it looked a LOT better. Chark looked like a legit NFL WR making tough catches in traffic. It's not like we had guys all of a sudden getting wide ass open. We just had a QB throwing balls that gave them a chance.

That’s what you get when someone is playing their 168th NFL game.  Dalton is supposed to be much better in certain aspect than Young.

I don't disagree. I was just expecting Young to be further ahead in the mental aspects of the game than a typical rookie. I mean, that was the entire rationale behind drafting him because I don't think anyone would try to argue that he's a better physical prospect than Stroud or Richardson.

This. Not sure why anyone would expect otherwise.

Young is being crucified by this fanbase for not looking like a 15 year vet in week 2.

Chark and Theilen got separation at times it seemed, but Dalton was willing to put the ball into tight windows regardless, which Bryce has been hesitant to.  Our receivers are still a problem...

The entire point of the west coast offense is to get rid of the ball quickly into tight windows. Dalton did a good job of that, Young has to figure that out in the NFL, a lot of teams run different variations of the WC offense.

No he’s being crucified because he plays scared and anytime he gets touched the balls comes flying out.

And to have quick twitch fidgety receivers which the panthers simply do not employ

A lot of the fans on the Huddle are quick to point fingers and slow to praise. Hopefully the fanbase outside of here has a better attitude.

    • Ultimately it's up to the other safety prospects to clearly outplay Scott. I think when that happens on tape against other teams it'll be addressed. I think none of them have done that definitively and consistently yet.
    • Night and day difference in the front office investements.  Since Morgan has been in the FO (5 years)....4 out of 5 first round picks have been offensive players.  The one defensive pick was a corner. Expand it out to the first 2 rounds? 7 out of the 9 picks have been offensive.  That IMO is why our D sucks so bad.   You build defenses up front.   Carolina hasn't been investing there.  Ron's first 5 years? 3 of the 5 first round picks were defensive players.  Expand it all to include second rounders  7 of the 10 picks were defensive.  All front 7 players.
    • I think he gets this year to show what he can do.  Last year, we had a lot of injuries. This year, we should have some players, even if we lose one or two.  It's the first preseason game.  Some of the starters weren't even in it.  There is no scheming or game planning.  Let's see how guys do when it counts. I think we have a GM that knows a thing or two about defense.  Let it play out.
