and Rob Parker's top 5 looked like this:

1. Bill Belichick

2. Sean Payton

3. Mike Tomlin

4. John Fox

5. Jeff Fisher

Thoughts???

Based on this year?

1. Jim Caldwell- He has the most talent on his team throughout the positions. Fox could crack the top 5 with Peyton as his QB.

2. Sean Peyton- This team is really hit or miss. When they are on, they are amazing. When the offense isn't absolutely perfect, it its as painful as watching the Panthers.

3. Norv Turner- This team has had a complete 360 this season and without LT doing much to carry them. Philip Rivers has really put himself forward as a legit 5 QB in the NFL.

4. Brad Childress- This team is good year after year. However, their recent meltdowns are alarming for them.

5. Marvin Lewis- Team is playing much like the 2008 Panthers. Running the ball all over the yard. Played the Chargers the best anybody has on the Chargers win streak.

6. Jeff Fisher

7. Andy Reid

8. Mike McCarthy

9. Bill Belichick

10. Mike Tomlin

Since Fox's Tenure

1. Bill Belichick

2. Tony Dungy

3. Bill Cowher

4. Mike Tomlin

5. Tom Coughlin

5. Andy Reid

6. Mike Holmgren

7. John Fox

8. Ken Wisenhunt

9. Jeff Fisher

10. John Gruden

    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
    • Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
