Fox would land a job somewhere quick if he were to leave.

I think this forum really underestimates the respect he gets from around the league from a coaching-standpoint.

Fox knows how to coach-his number one flaw is his loyalty to his players.

Take away bad QB play and injuries this year and we would've been a good team.

This, mind you, is with Fox at the helm.

That's what you get, I guess, from an internet forum full of typical fans who think the only way to win games is by trading up to get the first pick in the draft every year and drafting the biggest name possible.

Caldwell is a terrible coach, once Dungy's team starts falling apart the Colts will go down hill fast

Not picking a fight but there's more to being a coach than just saying "hey i'm the coach"

Caldwell seems to be doing a damn good job....14-0

But if they win the SB it won't be the first time a Dungy team did it after he left.

not as a head coach. too few jobs and too much competition that he doesn't stand out from.

What specific things does Fox do that leads you to believe that he "knows how to coach"?

Don't just point to things like wins that are a reflection of team and not just specifically the coach. What specific things has Fox done or what specific things does he do that makes you think he's a good coach?

First, I go strictly by wins/losses. Second to that is what hope does the team have of being competitive with the better teams in the league. Third, when they get the opportunity to win the big game, do they. Fourth, what preparations are made to sustain a winning, competitive team, what, sustained hope, do they have if not winning it all, at least competing without being an embarrassment.

I guess if the moniker is the Panthers aren't the (fill-in the blank), then Fox is the guy. Sooner or later, there are only so many coordinators or players to blame, for the person who hired the coordinators and put the players on the field.

There are a lot of coaches that would be better Coordinators than Head Coaches, I believe Fox is one of those.

When Fox first arrived, he was a tough guy. He would bow up. He would interact with the fans. Now, after his second, and lucrative contract, I believe he's glad to just 'be here' and I believe that attitude carries forth to some of his players, not all, but, some. He hides behind ridiculous platitudes. He has lost his backbone, and really, its too bad; but, it is, what it is.

Fact is, as a season ticket holder, there is nothing I can do if Fox is retained. I do know in my survey, I hit very strongly to the product on the field. I could give two shake's of a rat's ass about the 'atmosphere'. It's all about what happens between the goal lines for me.

My problem with Fox is the following. Look at his history, on the seasons he has a good record the year before his record will be below .500 therefore he gets a weaker schedule then the Panthers have a winning season. This season after he had his 12-4 record they have a tougher schedule and the result is what we have.
