Moore Bandwagon

Watch how the offense responds to one of his good passes and compare it to Delhomme. There's a pretty marked difference. The team PLAYS better with Moore in for sure.

Agree the defense looks thrilled.

I don't see this "marked difference" that you refer to, especially in Jake's favor. I see the team playing better, which may be directly attributable to Moore's calm demeanor, i.e. no screaming/slapping helmets/making hand gestures towards someone else after he screws up.

yeah never seen julius give jake credit,he did today.

bottom line is some of you are being unreasonable.....matt has done more then enough to earn the starting job for this year and maybe next.he's out perform some of the best in the business in the last two weeks and the key is HE KEEPS GETTING BETTER!

I do. It pissed my wife off enough to stop watching the game (she's loved Moore since 07). Moore doesn't get the same reception Jake does (at least from the offense).

How many starters are the Panthers down on offense? It works both ways.

(not to mention the same thin receiving corps we've had all year)

I'm still undecided, but the scales are tipping pretty strongly toward letting Matt Moore be the placeholder next year and drafting a rookie.

You're seeing a natural progression with him now as he gets more and more starter reps, and it's a good one.

"O Captain! My Captain!"

Dan, do you remember that Vick kept faking injuries when he was losing? His own players were making jokes about it. It was swept under the rug but it happened. Why would you want someone like that "leading" our team. No matter how bad Jake played I never questioned his heart and I don't think the players did either. How do you think the team will respond to a QB that fakes injuries so people won't blame him for a loss.

Like i said the Giants Secondary Blows.

there is something that i would like to point out here...how moore's performance today compares with other QBs the giants have faced this year.

matt's stats against this giant secondary:

15 completions- 20 attempts- 171 yards - 3 TDs - 0 INTs

completion rating: 75%, passer rating 139.8

the rest of the season...Comp-Att-Yd-TD-INT

wk. 1: campbell- 19-26-211-1-1

completion rating: 73.1%, passer rating 93.6

wk 2: romo- 13-29-127-1-3

completion rating: 59.3%, passer rating 140.6

wk 3: bucs QBs 11-26-58-0-1

leftwich completion rating: 43.8%, passer rating 25.0

johnson completion rating: 40.0%, passer rating 50.4

wk 4: cassell 15-32-127-2-0

completion rating: 46.9%, passer rating 78.5

wk 5: russell 8-13-100-0-0

completion rating: 61.5%, passer rating 85.4

wk 6: brees 23-30-369-4-0

completion rating: 76.7%, passer rating 156.8

wk. 7 warner 20-36-231-1-1

completion rating: 78.0%, passer rating 100.8

wk. 8 mcnabb 17-23-240-3-0

completion rating: 73.9%, passer rating 146.7

wk. 9 rivers 24-36-209-3-2

completion rating: 66.7%, passer rating 86.5

wk. 11 ryan 26-46-268-2-0

completion rating: 56.5%, passer rating 88.0

wk. 12 orton 18-28-245-1-1

completion rating: 64.3%, passer rating 89.1

wk. 13 romo 41-55-392-3-0

completion rating: 74.5%, passer rating 112.1

wk. 14 mcnabb 18-28-307-2-1

completion rating: 65.4%, passer rating 110.3

wk. 15 campbell 17-33-249-1-3

completion rating: 53.6%, passer rating 57.4

point is...you can blame some of his success on their secondary and pass defense but moore did a lot to capitalize on what he was given. he has grown every week and is putting up some great numbers for someone with as little PT as he has had.

you give him next week and let him go into the next season with the offense being planned around him and you should have even better results. now, as game tape becomes available there should be a leveling but by all indications he's just showing the tip of what he is capable of.

should we not encourage competition or bring in someone else? nope. we need to give this team the best shot possible but i really do think you are selling moore short. you are letting what you heard a while back about moore skew your perspective. get some current points of view form guys on the team. let them tell you what they are seeing out there then report back to us.

you have an inside track? use it. it could very well be that he is growing into the job. it happens, you know. not everyone is able to come out of the gates as a round 1 pick and play at a probowl level some people you won't see until they get thrown into it and have a chance to grow with it.

How dare you try to use logic. Dan doesn't. He signed with the Saints for Christs sake. Moore sucks. :)
