What other teams could be interested in Moore?

..............Therefore I see four teams potentially looking at him. Despite that, I can only realistically seeing the Seahawks making sense as the Bills have a coupleof QBs who have played moderately well, the Redskins want the glamour player and Raiders want the athletic freak.

Nice post.

There's 1 vote for Seattle.

Where is Moore from??

Where is Moore from??

Van Nuys, California. Raiders would probably get him. :P

But honestly, I'm sure we will keep Moore. Fox may be stubborn & loyal, but I won't be surprise if he does keep Moore & start him. I imagine after the 'Aints game, JR will tell him Moore is the answer & make him start while Jake is a backup QB again. Kinda like Bud Adams telling Jeff Fisher to start Vince Young. Hopefully with how we're kicking ass lately, it will humble Fox & make him start going with what work.

Why? If you let him go your just going to use the pick on a QB. Sounds like a waste to me.

I agree. I'm already feeling comfty with Moore here than selecting a QB that could be a bust. We always has history of selecting crappy QBs from the Draft. Weinke & Collins, anyone??

Here me out on this....

Put the 2nd round tender on Moore. Teams don't offer the world to RFAs in part because the value of that RFA to the new team is lessened due to the fact that they have to fork over a draft pick. In other words, if another team signed Moore to an offer sheet, it will be discounted to take into consideration the loss of the draft pick. Then the Panthers can match that offer and have their QB at a decent discount.

Anyway it turns out is a positive for the Panthers-

Moore signs discounted offer sheet with another team- Panthers match and get Moore with a lesser contract.

Moore signs ridiculous offer with another team- Panthers get a 2nd round pick and some freedom in the upcoming draft.

Moore doesn't sign an offer sheet- Panthers get Moore cheap next year and can get a better valuation on him going forward.

if next year is uncapped, moore isn't a FA.

most likely it will be uncapped.

mccown and feeley i can see not being on the team next year. mccown is a free agent after this year. feeley...i can't find out much about his contract so i don't know if he's free after this year or not. i can't imagine them working hard to keep him around.

moore...there is far too much upside and potential there to let go. the teams major problem is QB and with him they may have just found their starter for the future.

the club is adverse to drafting QBs and moore may just be their way out of having to draft one.

i'm sure that mccown would re-sign with the panthers because it sounds like he's tired of moving his family around.

truthfully, i'd rather have mccown back than jake.

Rather have the first and 2nd round tender one him. Not trying to give Moore away if someone really wants him he get handsomely compensated.

Yeah but no one is going to sign him to an offer sheet at a first and a second rounder. We are stuck waiting it out and possibly having to pay him mega bucks next season if he continues to progress.

2.7 million not bad for a starting QB. Well worth it next season. If he starts to stink it up we wont be on the hook down the road. If someone signs him we get a 1st and 2nd rounder.
