alright how about this.  Its not a big deal for her to work at Tepper sports.  It is however a big deal that she is given input on coach hirings, qb selections and draft day trades.  Would you agree with that statement?

How much weight do you think she has?  Do you think our draft would be any different without her around?  Do you think Reich, Fitterer, and Tepper are sitting around waiting for her input?  You cannot be this naive.  You have another agenda.

The fact that she was traveling to all of the pro days, having dinner with the prospects, and interviewing for the staff means she has some input - which is more than she should have given her background (or lack thereof). The same can be said for Tepper, but he bought the team so it's a tougher argument to make.

Calling out dumb comments isn't "white knighting" lol.  I feel like "white knighting" is becoming the new "woke."   Anyway this thread is pretty derailed and probably heading to the ole TB before long....

Just because it has been said a few times on a corner street Panthers board doesn’t mean it is becoming a thing.

I mean her husband bought the team and gave her a high position not only in his Sports Group, but the team itself.  She clearly wants to be involved and learn the business.  Her being unqualified to have her position is nothing out of the ordinary in the NFL.  Family members get high jobs regularly it's just usually father/sons.  I have no argument for her OR Tepper traveling to pro days as that was unordinary.  She is definitely catching extra heat on here from the good ole boys though that she wouldn't be if she was Tepper's son.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
