More Fox speculation from nfl.com...Browns possible

I'd take either a first or second. That'd be a steal IMO. Fox would then have a legacy, if he could work with Cleveland and get them to the playoffs, of being able to rebuild franchises. Regardless if he ever got to another Super Bowl, he would ALWAYS be able to find job.

Yes, Gruden has been reading up on the Spread offense and has spent time with various coaches, Rich Rodriguez when he was at WVU and Jerry Moore at ASU on the Spread.

We thought that in 2007 too.

This is the first time in years that I've seen this defense play and dominate. We have two running backs who if we let loose could both top this years stats.

We may possibly have found our solution at QB in house. Steve Smith and Moose can appreciate getting the ball in their hands in stride.

I like what I see from this team. There is a lot to look forward to next year. I like what Davidson and Meeks are doing. Injuries killed us again this year. That's not the coaches fault.

I do blame him for not sitting Jake though. Other than that he's done well.

You can't get any draft picks for Fox. The NFl doesn't allow it.

Actually you can. Squirrel has it right, the rule only applies for assistant coaches and lower level executives. HC's and GM's can still be traded for picks. It was actually in a recent article, unfortunately I don't remember which once since I have read so many lately.

He said on a Radio show he was coming back so I really dont see this playing out......

What he actually said is that he sees himself coming back because he still has a year on his contract...basically the same thing he has said since the report of no extension came out. The big difference seems to be a sense of resignation in his tone to the fact he has no choice but to coach here another year, as a lame duck. However, I don't think it shuts the door to a move if a team comes in offering pick(s). I believe he would be more than willing to go elsewhere if it gets him a long term contract and JR would be willing to let him out of his contract.

I know, yet another year of playing a soft schedule and everyone jumping on his band wagon just so we can go 7-9 or 8-8 the year after...we are in a viscous cycle here! IMO if we don't try something different we are going to be stuck in this viscous cycle!

You're right, we can do worse but on the flip side we can also do so much better!

If you are insinuating that the Panthers get a soft schedule due to their record then you would be mistaken.

I would trade Delhomme for Brady Quinn and a crappy player any day... Matt Moore is doing an amazing job but I believe with proper coaching for Quinn he could have a lot of potential!

As far as Fox goes I hope he goes. I think with Bill C. he will be adequate for our running game considering that's the same style of the steelers! Run N Gun!

How exactly would i be mistaken? Your Non-conference matches are bases off of your previous years record. It isn't as bad as it used to be but its still there

"These games will match a first-place team against the first-place teams in the two same-conference divisions the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place, and fourth-place teams in a conference will be matched in the same way each year."
