let's just take a minute to thank the Bucs and Saints on good seasons

I bet you're saying - "What the hell do we need to be thanking these teams for? The playoffs haven't even started yet!" Well all I'm doing here is thanking them for being good teams. Of course this is just spectulation, but playing good teams ultimately makes for a better, more tested team. The Panthers should do well this postseason if all keeps clicking like it has the past few weeks.

We can thank New Orleans for their prolific passing attack. Their torching of our secondary in Week 17 should be a reminder than if faced against a team like Arizona in the second round, they will need to step up their game or go home.

We can thank Tampa Bay, not simply for completely self-destructing, but for destroying the Panthers back in Week 6. That loss exposed the biggest weakness of the Panthers. Stop Williams and Stewart, and force Jake into making mistakes. No team effectively shut down the Panthers ground game like they did that game. It was a great learning experience that the Panthers used to destroy Tampa on MNF, and to retool the running game for the playoff push.

We'll see you guys next season.

I thank Tampa for doing one of the great choke jobs in NFL history: 9-3 and then missing the playoffs! Great job Chucky! You are one of the most overrated coaches in the NFL. Hope they sign you to a lifetime contract!

I thank New Orleans for throwing the ball all over the field and failing to realize what wins games in the NFL. 5,000 yards, but only 8 wins. Great job Sean Peyton. You are one of the most overrated coaches in the NFL. Hope they sign you to a lifetime contract.

The team I would thank would be the Denver Broncos for being 3-0 against the rest of the division. They were 5-8 against the rest of the league, including their own crappy division. Kind of remarkable that they beat the Falcons in Atlanta if you consider that.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
