I am not saying he is entirely without credibility to give an opinion. But if his Sam Darnold takes were just a throwaway remark he made a few times it would be one thing. But it's worth noting since he went all in on Sam. He was outspoken about it. It's worth mentioning in the context of him putting it all on the line for another QB that is under a cloud of skepticism here. We don't have to like it. But it's relevant.

Kiper love Clausen, Simms loved Wilson, they are all going to have misses.  I'm just saying clinging to the time they were wrong when they have a different opinion that your's is definitely trying to create a narrative.  Something you are accusing others of doing.  Just seems a little ironic to be as everyone on here and in sports does this.

Others are creating a narrative though. We are 0-5. Our offense has looked awful for a number of reasons but the truth of the matter is whether it is him being held back or the coaching staff being inept the best our passing game has looked was with Andy Dalton on the road.

So sure when Orlovsky is like hey man you guys are being unfair to Bryce Young I'm going to say okay well let's see something on the field. We've seen glimpses. But when the game was out of reach. I'm waiting on that moment when Young takes over. I'll be cheering as loud as anyone else if and when it happens.

A seasoned vet looked better than a rookie with 2 games of nfl experience.  Imagine that.

Not sure how anybody can judge a rookie QB with the team we have assembled around him. I will say it again, the problem isn't Bryce. No QB was coming to Carolina this year and turning this team around. We just need to hope and pray that BY stays healthy and doesn't become so scared that his career is ruined. This team needs talent, and we need it in nearly all positions. Trading for the 1st pick was quite possibly the worst trade ever!

He is saying our whole offense is too dysfunctional to write off Young based on these first few weeks.  That seems like a more than reasonable observation/statement.  I posted a much more in depth tweet from him about our whole situation last week and I agree.  I also agree with commentators saying Young hasn't looked like the top pick.

We threw the ball 58 times with Dalton on the road.  That's a good way to pad some stats but also lose the game which we did.  Dalton is also winless with this roster and he is a 10 plus year starter/vet in this league.

Ah yes he's a stat padder but so far our only glimmer of hope from our #1 overall pick has been in garbage time. Speaking of narratives.

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
