Vick will have many suitors

The Eagles are widely expected to trade quarterback Mike Vick before the fifth day of the 2010 league year, at which time he earns a $1.5 million roster bonus. And with the Eagles spending much of the latter portion of the season showcasing Vick, the unofficial auction likely will be starting soon.

Making a trade even more likely is the fact that Vick wants to be the starter, and he won't be the starter in Philly -- unless the Eagles trade both Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb.

So where will he go? According to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com, Vick will have "many suitors."

Per La Canfora, teams to watch include the Bills, Rams, Panthers, Raiders, and Jaguars.

Making Vick even more attractive is the fact that the top unrestricted free agent quarterback likely will be Daunte Culpepper.

So as the NFL's hot stove begins to warm up, Vick is one of the first guy's whose future will be decided sooner rather than later.

Florio forget 2 teams in Jason's article--> Oakland and Jacksonville.

I'll be the first to say, not a chance

Yep. The Eagles were giving Mike Vick a second chance. He even won the Ed Block award. Image is everything.

The FO is not dumb. Use him enough to give him exposure, don't hurt him(your assest) and add that award and you got yourself a nice chip.

Smart.

Id say Jacksonville. But then theres The Golden Calf of Bristol. (PS I think Garrard is a good QB) Oakland sounds right, but it also sounds like a mistake waiting to happen. Rams would be ideal. He and Steven Jackson would make a good fit. and the Bills would be alright I guess.

God sometimes it feels like Vick is even more over-rated now than when he was actually playing. He is second string QB material, player wise, stat wise all around. If he were to start somewhere it would only be because he fits a system/profile, and so Vick will go to Oakland. I am wondering what happens to Russell...

    • My tailoring green idea was not for him to be the starter but to add some value beyond just a developmental quarterback I think size speed is something Bryce doesn't have he has those and would immediately feel the fourth and one package and possibly red zone and some power packages for us
    • Do you have against Willis I believe you're around when we have the draft with corral and Willis were on the board and me personally I was banging the table for Willis as early as round one but a lot of people thought corral was better but it's amazing with a little coaching and time can do with me I always go with potential and upside versus oh the guy just plays football you know sometimes that's not enough
    • I know or needs and this probably isn't with a lot of people want but if he's available at 19 I don't think you can discount that he would be the best player on the board I think with 43 speed he's as fast as leggette. 63240 something he would stretch the field  Strike fear over the middle of opposing linebackers and also probably cure our long time history of no serviceable tight end since Greg Olsen I think a lot of needs like tackle maybe linebacker could be filled and free agency to the point like they did last year where we fix a lot of this and draft the best player we can on the board.  After his combine and the numbers in the 43-in vertical I'm not sure that he will be available but if he is I bet that he's highly considered what say you
