C.J. Stroud: I don’t think Bryce Young is playing badly in any way, aspect, or form

CJ is a hell of a leader of men. Bryce will be fine, but man the Texans are set with CJ.

I wouldn't call ANY rookie a leader of men. I wouldn't even call Mahomes nor Belichick that as well. It requires decades of leadership and achievement to earn such a praise.

Dude I don't got to prove anything to you or show you anything. You can clearly see it or watch it. Look at both QBs games, look at the pre-snaps, the processing, the audibles, the motions, and the line adjustments. Then come back and tell me Stroud is doing all of them. Because young is most definitely doing it. I been playing and around football my hole life. I know what I'm talking about.

You just basically said you aren’t able to back up your claims.

You can’t prove it. It’s ok to just admit that and move on.

I did prove it, you just don't want to do your own homework. Look up Steve smith conversation about Bryce young vs Stroud. Look up Strouds vs Bryce young vs Richardson articles. Look at all the press conferences and the preseason ones. The information is right there for you to read and hear it. And other team mates have said what Young has to learn and process all year now. If you don't like him fine just admit it but don't come on here stating what people is saying is bullshit.

Steve has literally said he doesn’t know what quarterbacks do on his last recent podcast episode. Steve also believes he wouldn’t have succeeded in the NFL as a QB due to his height. And he’s only one inch shorter than Bryce.

I’m not stating what you are saying is bullshit. I’m asking you to prove how you know he’s being asked to do “far more” and to quantify what “far more” even is. Your analysis has returned the result of “other people said so”. I was hoping for a little more than parroting somebody else’s words. Even JTO on the QB School has said he has to assume what the routes are and what the reads are because without being in that QB Room there is no way to know for sure.

You want to quote preseason press conferences and interviews? The same interview that said Bryce was throwing people open in practice and making great throws from multiple arm angles? The same press conferences that said Bryce couldn’t handle what was given to him so now we are more or less dumbing it down?

“I don’t think I could have played QB because of my height”.

“I never played QB and don’t know one thing about what it takes to be a college quarterback”

He said he can watch tape and see from the eye in the sky and go this must have been this route or that route. But here is your source openly admitting his knowledge about QBs is only deep enough to look at a play and assume what an offense is supposed to be doing. It’s not deeper than that.

And then you have real QBs like JTO saying even when watching the plays and film you can know the scheme and the routes but you still don’t for sure know what even the read order is without being in the room. He’s got to make educated guesses.

That's not even the video I'm referring too. Go back to his older videos. It's a video when Steve said Stroud WRs only run 4 routes in the WR tree.

And read this article alsohttps://www.si.com/nfl/2023/10/15/frank-reich-panthers-staff-aware-future-tied-bryce-youngs-development-per-report

And yes you just proved what I was stating. I'm saying young has to learn more, this is the reason for dumbing down things

Because one guy needs something dumbed down that doesn’t necessarily mean he had more on his plate to begin with. You would need to have intimate knowledge of both offenses and systems, the play calls and the reads to know who is asked more. This did not prove your point. You pointing to an older video where I shared a newer video with more recent info does not prove your point.

Pretty embarrassing to have to prop up your QB with his opponents every week, especially when the last one then went on to beat down the other team even after falling asleep for a full quarter while still having time to take their foot of the gas later in the game.

It makes it all look so much more hilarious. Dude is rooting for his friend, good for them but it just makes it look like the Panthers chose the wrong one for even more reasons.

Ignoring the wrong “to/too” in the article this is what it said :

It has been BELIEVED that Young was given to much responsibility at the line of scrimmage, leading to him struggling so early in the season.

    • To start with, you wouldn’t want to count up that value chart. You would see quickly where that is headed. But you basically did a quantity comparison, while ignoring quality.  I am looking at 2023 as the start, because it became all about Bryce.  2023 you have 4 picks plus DJ Moore for offense vs 2 (80 and 145) for defense.  2024 you got the 1st overall, the 32, the 46 and the 101 for offense vs 72, 157, 200 and 240 for defense. Leave the FA IOL out of it. Which was a crazy big  investment. But it wasn’t draft.  Anyway, that is basically 4 top 100 picks for offense and 4 picks for defense in 2024. Except they were 2 first rounders, the second rounder, and the 4th was really high at 101. Vs 72 and day three stuff. Please….  Second quoted/bolded… See you think we hate Bryce. That isn’t it at all. It is nice easy way to characterize us and discredit our talking points though.   Me, I do mostly hate watching him play. But I don’t hate the person. I hate the hell out of the stanning.  It started with the very first question I asked about his footwork, arm strength, and size. Height being the principle objection. I never even got to the durability factor. There was plenty without factoring that in.  But there was rabid opposition to even asking the question of what a couple of small fractions of a second extra closing time would do for the defenders.  What the extra time it takes to flip the hips would do vs a pass rush or on the other end after the ball is in the air. Split second more for recognition where it is going for the DBs.  The tippy toe backpedal.  That poo was a mess and it has always been mess but no Bryce fan wanted to hear it. “Go get another team to root for”. “It worked in the SEC it will be fine in the NFL you don’t know football you are just a hater”.  It got worse when the real games started. It has never stopped. It is nice that many people have left that train so there is less abuse but it hasn’t stopped.  So whatever…
    • Whatever school you attended, I don't know and I don't care, but I would suggest demanding a refund.    Something was completely missed there.
    • The draft capital since since 2023 has in no way been pretty even.  Especially when you zero in on day 1 and day 2 draft picks.  Draft capital has vastly gone toward the O over D.
