He's not afraid to shoot. And he gets in position for rebounds.

He was the last 2 years. To a fault. Can't tell you how many times I yelled at the TV or in the arena, "Shoot the fu***** puck!"

But if he's playing on a line with Aho, he's got to shoot more knowing the D is going to focus on Aho. I'm glad he is....

We have a lot of different guys going right now so it’ll be interesting to see what happens once Svech can handle a full workload.

Svech showed yesterday that he can drive play no matter who he is with, if you give him another scoring threat then he’ll be really dangerous.

I’d try to have at least two scoring threats on each line if I’m RBA.

If Teravainen continues to center Aho then I’d go with something like this:

Aho - Teravainen - Jarvis

Noesen - Kotkaniemi - Necas

Bunting - Drury - Svechnikov

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Lemieux

If playing with Bunts and Svech can’t get Drury going then I’m putting Suzuki or Ponomarev in as soon as one of them are healthy.

I don't think Turbo stays at C... Rod had Jarvis taking drawns the other night too...

I'd also like to see SVECHNIKOV on the KK Necas line him and Marty together are a force.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
