Not a franchise QB

Never heard any other QB get “nice throw!” comments from the commentary after 8 yard throws.

That’s such basic poo and he gets sucked off for it all the time.

He’s so “composed” though.

It’s like talking heads just want nice guys out there, and winning/production comes after.

Was Cam ever complimented over an 8 yard throw to a TE over the middle? No…he just balled out on Sunday and got criticized for the towel on his head.

It’s all bullshit.

They said the same thing about Joe Burrow( and a lot of HOFers) and now look at him…

I’m giving him a full season and then I’m hoping either Fitterer improves at his job or we hire someone who can put the personnel around Bryce that he needs. THEN I will decide whether he’s a bust or not

Burrow has an NFL arm.  Can make all the throws and has that IT factor.  BY doesn't plain and simple.  He just isn't an NFL QB.

We drafted a career backup #1 overall.

Frankly I’m not sure he’s even a backup at this point. A lot can change as he matures, ages and progresses but what he’s putting on the field coupled with absolute crap play calling.

Even dalton doesn’t want part of this. He looked livid near the end of the 4th there.

Best case scenario is this kid becomes a game manager who takes what the defense gives him.

Stroud does what he wants to the defense. Every throw looks effortless.

The people who evaluated both these guys IN PERSON, who made the final decision to take Bryce…bye bye. You don’t know what you are doing.

You must have never watched a Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers game then. Difference is, all three of them could sling it down field when needed to.

…I’ve watched all those guys.

But it’s like commentary is told to compliment this kid. All he does is 8 yard throws.

This kid makes Teddy 2 Gloves look like Big Ben.

Likely because he knows he should be in there helping this team win.

Ya, I honestly think he was sold on him starting for a season here while the rookie QB sat. This whole organization is a cancer that must be eradicated. Thielen is fine, he gets his big cushiony nfl bonus next year. Dalton is looking for that and he doesn’t get it if he doesn’t play.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
