The boss at practice today with eyes on the OL

If you're winning you can do whatever you want. But when you're 1-8 with the worst record in the NFL since you took over ownership maybe you shouldn't have your wife out there scouting the OL and chopping it up with your front office personnel. I mean just for optics' sake. It's a bad look for an awful organization. Or do and give everyone more fodder for jokes. Either way...

In the lone win it was overlooked- it took a mid-field late 4th down conversion to get in FG range.......Hell it seems in each successful drive during the games includes at least one 4th down conversion..... pathetic

It was a pretty impressive drive by Bryce that if Stroud or Richardson did it that day, they'd be feted as heroes. But to have to just belabor for every yard, every play, I mean -- it worked out perfectly and Bryce made some great throws, but it still took forever to get there.

Plenty of folks myself included said Bryce looked the best he had all year in that game. But then we played some more games.

They're not ruining all football in the Carolinas, just the NFL. There's still college ball, which has been a lot more fun to watch than the NFL's Carolina team over the last seven years or so.

I'll still have that glimmer of hope last December, the one bit of thinking "this could be a playoff season" amid a sprawling shitshow of Tepper-fueled incompetence

I never had hope that they would make the playoffs last season. I preferred the Panthers losing in beatdowns, which should have killed the false hope, but sadly, that didn't happen.

    • You can make a decent case that most of the starters are at-least average. But depth-wise, its awful, maybe the worst in the NFL.  The only reason they could be a playoff team, is the awful NFC south and its collection of bad QBs and coaching staffs. That changed big time when cousins and Morris arrived to ATL. Now it would take a setback to cousins, in which he currently ready to play given all the stem cells and peptides stuff he has.  In past years there was always some elite talent leftd on the 7 win rosters. Like many know theres just dbrown and a huge ? in horn. If hunt was elite, phins would have tagged him. There's no Thomas Davis, Luke, Cam, Olsen, peppers, kalil, beason, gross, Jenkins, Smitty etc on the team. Brown is great and all, but sacks and pressure wise, he's not game changing. Panthers lack difference makers, young ones. You could make a weak case for clowney, but that ravens D is stacked.  Us fans just need to hope Dan Morgan can collect more young difference maker in the next 2-3 years. If Bryce isn't that guy, 4 years before this team can sniff the playoffs.  Honestly the panthers are due some luck as well.
    • The fact that Smitty TD and all of our other black players love JR, it was probably another made up cancel culture BS to go along with the times.
    • Why do you think Bryce is the guy after one of the worst overall 1st overall pick’s rookie years in nfl history?
