Cowboys fans upon us...

Panthers fan from Salisbury;

Of cheering fans they have full three score thousand.

Panthers fan from York:

There's five to one; besides, they all are drunk.

SALISBURY

O that we now had here
But one ten thousand of those fans in Charlotte
That watch from home today!

Purrnicious:

What's he that wishes so?
My friend from Salisbury? No, my fellow fan:
If we are mark'd to lose, we are enough
To do our fanbase loss; and if to win,
The fewer fans, the greater share of honour.
God's will! I pray thee, wish not one fan more.

Rather proclaim it, Salisbury, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his tickets shall be sold
And crowns for carrowinds put into his purse:
We would not lose in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to lose with us.

.'
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he saw this day: then shall their names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Bryce the Quarterback, Brown and Burns,
Thielen and Hubbard, Luvu and Jackson,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And each football season shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the league,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that cheers with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in Charlotte now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their fanhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That cheered with us upon this Cowboys game!

As you should. And no one should be mad about it.

I used to get so pissed at PSL holders who'd sell their tickets to opposing fans.  LoYaLtY tO tHe TeAm and all that.

Over the past several years though I'm like fug it, you just converted a miserable afternoon getting beer spilled on you and challenged to fights by some drunk Cowboys fan from Hickory to a nice day trip to the mountains or something.

Hickory really is a poo hole. 😂

I've never understood why. It's big enough to have some stuff, small enough to still have a small town feel, and in a great geographical location. Close to the mountains, decent access to the Charlotte area. But it just fuging sucks. I can be to Hickory in 20 minutes and never go.

    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
    • I always thought of him as an uptight military family dude, didn't know he needs to wash that mouth out with soap lol.
