Wait, are you wanting us to draft a TE or not?  (Kidding) I do like this draft. I mean Bortolini could be starting sooner vs later from round 5.

Only if the value is right and not before round 5.  I really only like two dudes, Wiley and Holker.   The draft would have to fall perfectly up to that point for us to take one.  I'm not sure Wiley lasts until round 5 though.  Holker is older and has limited upside, but is a natural pass catcher (something that our current TEs sorely lack).  We'd have to use a fifth rounder on him because he won't be there when we draft in the 7th.

I like one of the 5ths for IOL.  Centers are slow movers in the draft.  We can get a decent one there.  I think only like 7 centers get drafted each year on average. So in round 5 we'd probably be looking at Center4/5.  That would be in the Limmer/Nugent/Bortolini grouping.

not sure how i feel about this one. didn't get a WR as early as i like to.

reminds me of how things can go off the rails at any moment. i was lucky to get some trade offers that gave me more picks because it could have gotten ugly. i think we still got some good bases covered. only big question mark is the RB. Tyrone Tracy. Don't know much about him.

I like this one a lot better, even with getting the WRs going later. I got my OL crew. I think McCormick, Gonclaves, and Zinter is now my goal in every mock. and a WR crew of Pearsall, Burton, and Washington would be awesome. I don't know that we add three and i seriously doubt they are around that long but it's nice to dream.

call it a day. i'm not a fan of the hype XL is getting and would be bummed if he's the pick at 33 or 39. i think he should be more in the 50 range, and would be ok with him at 65 if he's the second WR drafted

i personally would've grabbed Pearsall at 65, but get the feeling the panthers have a boner for XL (and it worries me)

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
