NBC with an interesting clip showing Love, Farve, Rogers all throwing passes while taking small leaps off the ground… just like Bryce seems to do.

It's like coaching. If you do it and it works you're praised for innovation. If you do it and it doesn't you're trash. It usually doesn't work for Bryce.

I don't agree with Collinsworth here. He's acting like taking that sack was this massive blunder. I think Love did exactly as he was told. They dialed up a play to try to get the 1st and he was told if it's not there just eat the ball and take the sack to keep the clock moving. Don't scramble around and possibly push us out of FG range. Don't throw it away and stop the clock. Eat it and keep the clock moving. After the sack they're kicking a 48 yarder. You expect NFL kickers to make 48 yarders. He lost maybe 5-6 yards on the sack. Not a huge difference between a 43 yarder and a 48 yarder and a 1st down would've ended the game.

Just don't think Collinsworth did all the mental math in that one.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
