Next year's surprise team

After reading through this thread, I would like to give my top five teams most likely to surprise in 2010, and by surprise I mean improve by at least four games....

1. Bears

2. Browns

3. 49ers

4. Raiders

5. Lions

lol. Weren't they all the worst teams in the league?

I'm going with the Browns, IF they can figure something out at QB. They finally started to find a running game towards the end of the season, and the offensive line came together. The Browns have a few draft picks next year as well to help solidify the defense and get some receiving talent in there, and possibly a new QB. Add into that the fact that the once tough AFC North has taken a step backwards it could be a very nice year for them.

The NFC South will be a dogfight next season.

The Panthers and Falcons both underachieved this year and the Saitns had a magical season.

I see both the Panthers and Falcons bouncing back strong with their rosters. In addition, it is hard to put together back to back magincal 13 win seasons like the Saints had.

Not to mention that the Saints are an injury to Brees away from being a terrible team...Brees means that much, and Brunnell proved that he still sucks.

I think the NFC South will definitely be the most competetive division next season....not to mention that our Out of division schedules are not over difficult. NFCW sucks and the AFCN will be tough.

my surprise bad: the Colts...why? Karma. Think about it. When was the last time Peyton got seriously injured...like Tom Brady injured....? after the Pats came off that awesome season karma came and bit them in the ass. I see it happening again. Plus that division is fairly solid, and if Houston can get one more playmaker in the draft look out.

my other surprise bad: the Vikings(assuming Favre is gone)... no proven qb + fumblin bumblin AP + aging defense + rising Packers = not nearly the season they had this year... not saying they are going to be horrible, but I see 8-8

surprise factor: How close is the NFC South going to be next year? Really we had three teams tha could have easily competed in the playoffs this year.. one of them won it all. I really hope Moore is ready to roll because we are going to need solid play at the qb position to make the playoffs.

    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
