Bobcats talking to Celtics about Augustin for Davis...

Flip as the backup point scares the bejueezus out of me.

DJ right now is a liabilty. He can't guard anybody and he has a hard time getting the team into their sets. If he is not hitting his jumper he is a waste on the floor. I rather have Law or Flip atleast they play defence.

I still think we can get sombody better then Big baby. I don't know how good a rebounder he is and does he have any post game. He does hit a 15 foot jumper some time so that might be a plus.

Augustin needs badly away from Larry Brown and Big Baby needs badly away from Kevin Garnett and the rest of the Celtics room that thinks he's a lazy POS. I wouldn't see the harm in making this move as long as Law became the back up point as opposed to Flip. If anybody could get production out of Big Baby, it's LB. Not the case with Augustin.

This particular rumor has been popular for a couple of days now, but Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe is saying that it's probably not going to happen, no matter what Jared Dudley might be tweeting.

According to his sources, any talk about a swap of Augustin and Davis is in the preliminary stages, and Celtics GM Danny Ainge has even gone so far as to say that he's content with this backcourt depth at the moment. So while this rumor had some legs over at ESPN on Tuesday, by Thursday it's been pretty much buried.

darn, Davis woulda been a nice addition

the search for a PF continues...........

    • Sounds like things just got interesting at unc
    • It has nothing to do with Bryce. Going into the offseason we had options other than an ancient Andy Dalton and piss poor Plummer to look at. Dalton didnt look good other than one game against the worst defense in the NFL. We should have upgraded at backup QB, especially to a backup that fit our HC style of offense. That meant a gunslinger and there were several available to be had that were younger and better suited for DC's offense. Plummer was always a waste of time. Sometimes you find gems or maybe guys that can be serviceable for a game or 2 but you actually have to look for them. We didn't. We did nothing to improve our QB room and that has nothing to do with Bryce. We kept Bryce comfortable, but thats a different topic in and of itself.
    • I think there is room for other interpretations of the inner working of the DM SF bromance.  Yourself, being a man of character, work for your best friend. You might be close enough to speak your true opinion without repercussion.  Stay with me.  Dan was really good NFL MLB. How do you think a guy that played against Brady, Farvre, people like that, would view going against a 5’10” noodle arm that wasn’t a human joystick?  I know I what I think about that.  So he say to best bud, I don’t know about this. Looks risky. Best Bud says, your opinion is noted. What about that DT we are looking at? Dan was a defensive guy. Now I will stretch it further but I don’t need to. Fit says the Tepper’s are in love with the guy what do you want me to do?  That isn’t even necessary it may be that Fit loved him too.    There are multiple things that an open minded person might view as realistic scenarios.    Just sayin.    As far as the offensive overeating at the buffet, I really believe that was an edict from the boss: “do not let him fail. Know what I’m sayin?”.
