We have some toilet bowls being played and the Vikings and Bengals just kicked off.

Jake Browning dropped an absolute dime downfield to Higgins on the first snap and Higgins dropped it. That dude has definitely dropped some balls this year.

Unpopular opinion they need to get rid of the bowl games just have the playoffs.

Most of the top players are no longer playing in these non playoff bowl games. Games just don't feel the same without the best players playing in it.

One NFL note...

Of course he does 😕

This whole situation is just bizarre. Dude, you're offsides. Andy Reid and Mahomes, the dude was offsides. It is NOT the ref's responsibility to help you get lined up. You can ask confirmation but he is absolutely not required to alert you if you're offsides. They'd stop plays for guys lining offsides if that was the case and it's clearly not.

The Chiefs really need to STFU about this. They're mad at the wrong person. They need to be mad at that bum ass WR who has cost them two games in recent weeks and should be cut for it. Keep putting him on the field and he's gonna keep hurting you.

Yeah, it's the playoffs and the also rans at this point. That'll get even more obviously apparent when the playoffs expand next year. I'd honestly be okay with keeping a handful of bowls for the good non-P5 teams. But just no one cares about the non-playoff P5 bowls at this point. Even the NYE6 bowls don't matter. They just killed the golden goose with the bloated bowl system. They mattered back when going to a bowl game meant something. Now you have to be completely terrible not to qualify.

He'll fit right in here next year

I still can't believe that the Bengals were playing Joe Burrow badly hobbled early on this season when they had this guy sitting on the pine. They would've definitely been better off playing Browning during those games vs. a badly hampered Burrow who couldn't move and couldn't effectively throw over about 20 yards. I just had to assume that their backup was completely incompetent for them to be playing Burrow like that. The Bengals are starting to border on Cam era Panthers level of QB abuse with Burrow.

Oof. Huge downfield miss by Browning there on 3rd and 15. Wide ass open receiver streaking down the field for a walk in TD and he put it just barely out of reach. Just throw the safe ball there. You don't have to try to hit him in stride. Slow him down and make it easy. He couldn't be anymore wide open. Just make sure you don't overthrow it and you're good. And he overthrew it.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
