I think it's true. He's a smart game manager who is as good as the team that's around him. He doesn't provide any lift but he doesn't drag the team down either.

He is just less TO prone Jimmy G.

It was extremely obvious once all his talent was injured and they went on that losing streak.

They will live and die on the health of Samuel, Kittle, Aiyuk, Williams and CMC. Losing any two of that group will immediately torpedo their postseason.

He's an asset on a great team with elite weapons. When they have to face paying him like a franchise QB and have to make roster decisions to compensate... oh wee mayne.

Dallas has a real problem with grass. They're not good on the road and a lot of it has to do with encountering grass fields. Home field advantage is going to be critical to the Cowboys in the playoffs. If they have to go through Philly or SF they're fuged.

I bet Jerry Jones is one of the loudest voices opposing mandatory grass fields despite all the injury data showing it should be mandated.

    • This while he didn't single handily LOSE the game on any one play.....    He was a first overall pick, one we paid a fortune for..... the bar for him is a 10 foot dunk not a 5"8 children's rim.   32 for 49 for 287 with 1 td and 1 int in two games vs the worst team in the conference, two critically important games that we would be 9-5 and competing for the #2 if he had led us to victory....   Ive given him props for the TD to tet.... it was the best pass ive ever seen him make.....   But putting up these kind of numbers isn't up to par. Defenses stack the box and dare him to throw....  and he still puts up medicore at best numbers.    To win with Bryce young the entire rest of the team has to be absolutely perfect to make up for his deficiencies.... so while he didn't "lose" this game for us..... HE DEFFINATLY DIDNT GO WIN IT FOR US. (Which is the REALISTIC EXPECTATION)
    • His O is just built on taking repeated shots and that’s not BY’s game.  It was always a round peg and square hole…. But I also agree with your post.  I hate OC HCs.  Especially green ones.   I never liked anything about the setup
    • I get that. He's also trying to do HC and OC this year which I think is just too much for him. I think it's hard to call plays from the sidelines. That view from up top helps them see what a defense is doing better. A few HCs can do it because they have the QBs and experience to pull it off. DC has neither. I think DC may have spread himself too thin and Bryce isn't the QB to be able to pull of his end of it either. How much they compliment each other in creating this offensive bleh, yet to be determined. Doesn't really matter because it's still awful.
