Since we aren't really playing for anything, its mock draft season!!!!!!  Here is my weekly foray...

Traded back several times to acquire more mid round picks.

We have a draft subforum for this.  It's current despite it saying 2023 draft. The title hasn't been updated.

He most certainly could fall to the 2nd this draft is very deep at WR and he might not be in the top 8 of Wr in this draft..

Could, but likely won't.  It depends on how many teams need a WR1 versus other needs.  He definitely has a round 1 grade.

Lol at Egbuka falling to the 2nd round.  Also, Utah's Elliss is returning to school.

I could see it. Usually when you have two studs in the same unit on a college team one of them is exposed as a pretender at the NFL level who greatly benefitted from playing with a true stud. Thinking back to guys like Ryan Sims with Peppers at UNC. TMJ with Justin Jefferson at LSU. Courtney Brown with Lavar Arrington at Penn State. I'm sure you could go on for days.

Lowkey hoping we put the transition tag on Burns which forces a team to give up 2 firsts for him similar to the offer from the Rams last year. Win/Win imo. Use it on Brock Bowers if he's there where the pick lays or the other option would be on Chop Robinson depending on how much he falls or if he's there possibly in the second.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
